My visit to hotel Candevaves was the most memorable and personalised holiday experience I have been on. I was the guest of a family who has been there every year for 40 years and was bowled over by the service, restaurant choices (and sommelier!), location, amenities, decoration. As you can see from the map the location is just spectacular. For those not skiing you have breathtaking views, long snowy walks, terraces, a balcony, and more. For the skiers you have approximately 10 steps from the door to being on the actual slopes of some of the best skiing in the world. Not to mention a good size pool, sauna, steam room, water beds, sun room (with a view on the slopes!). The restaurant is perfect for a good start to a day’s activities and exactly what you want to come back to after a day out. There’s also a subtle but personal touch of a different napkin fold every night so keep an eye out! The staff for me made the visit- helpful, professional, thorough and genuine. I was also lucky enough to jump on the ski lift while Christian was operating and got explained the crafty points system- if you go on the Candevaves lift enough times you get a discount at the bar! I would recommend this hotel for coming with family, colleagues or as a couple. Enjoy!…
The best running camp! The hosts really understand what is important. Early breakfast, laundry service especially for our running group. Highly recommended. Excellent food and wine selection. I am usually not a wellness person, but I enjoyed th pool (very warm air in the pool room!) and sauna a lot.
it is my 4th time to Hotel Cendevaves and I cannot be more happy about this beautiful diamond in the heart of Dolomites. Location is Top, services and attention extremely high, Sauna, Garden and restaurant always at your availability with high standard of cleanness, of quality and of kindness. Activities for Families, Singles, and every target of guests are available to make your day reach and unforgettable.
In the past we visited Cendevaves many times and were curious how it would be under Corana conditions. Obviously the landscaoe was great as always. The hotel staff did a great job under difficult conditions. Food and wine were excellent, the waiters really cared and-last but not least- the weather was perfect for some nice climbs. It has been the second time I spend 7 night in Hotel Cendevaves and everytime it is an immense pleasure being part of this journey hotel, benefit of the immense Nature of Valgardena, with easy access to various mountain activities, running and cycling path and relax areas. A separate note is deserved for the Kitchen which is extremely qualitative, quantitative and genuine able to give value to your holidays. Finally, the presence of Stuffer Family & Team makes the Hotel more warm, friendly and enjoyable by their ability, attention's need and courtesy.
Spent the Christmas holiday there with the family. Booked the hotel mainly for the location on the piste. Skiing was great ! There are 2 lifts right next to the hotel where the kids kept on skiing at the end of the day. A third lift is the connection with the whole ski area and what an amazing ski area it is! Don't expect any apres-ski party here but you can have a drink in the bar/restaurant of the hotel when you're done with skiing. Very friendly people are working here, they remember what you drink and tell you to sit down they will bring it to your table. Same goes for breakfast and dinner. The food is great and the friendliness of the people working there makes it complete.
We stayed for a 1 week ski holiday in this hotel, travelling as a family (2 adults, 2 children). Check in was somehow chaotic, but once installed we could start our holidays. Rooms are clean and spacious enough. The children slept in a separate room; a single one with an extra bed, which was perfect. Our room had a spacious terrace overlooking the Dolomites. Breakfast was great with enough choice for both parents and children. Hospitality level of the staff in the restaurant was top, especially the "maître d'hôtel". We had a daily choice out of fish, meat and a vegetarian meal. Kids could order 'wienerschnitzel' or pasta if they could not find anything suitable from the main menu. Hotel location is perfect and sku in/ski out! Just in front of the slopes and skischool. The hotel also has a nice pool and small steambath. We used it every day as a relaxing moment at the end of the day. A nice detail is that for several evenings, the hotel offered something extra: for example an apero for all the guests, schnaps tasting, … We will certainly be returning!…
Great Hotel in a great location. Wonderful staff really helped us with everything we needed. Super food and very good wine list. Looking forwards to going back in the summer for some hill running and mountain biking.
My family and I spent a week at the Cendevaves hotel. The hotel is located in Monte Pana, directly in front of the ski lifts - which makes its location perfect for a skying holiday. You can get to the hotel and forget the car for the whole time you are there (in the underground parking space provided for each room). The pistes in front of the hotel are connected to the whole Dolomiti superski circuit and allow you unparalleled choice and variety. Ski school for either kids or adults is available in the four ski runs directly in front of the hotel, making it very easy to take advantage of. The hotel has a good indoor pool and wellness area. Rooms are very clean (and most have a great view on the Sasso Lungo) and staff are very helpful and attentive. In the evening, once the skiers have gone, the hotel is immersed in silence and nature. Santa Cristina is a 5 minutes car ride away, each of Selva and Ortisei (which have more varied restaurants / social life) about 10 to 15 minutes. The hotel would be perfect for a skiing holiday, particular if you have a family and prize comfort over trendiness. The one fault the hotel has is the food. While the hotel provides a choice of dishes each evening (including always having a meat, fish and vegetarian main course) the standard of the food is quite average. A better chef/kitchen would make Cendevaves absolutely great. As it is, the hotel remains a very good choice.…
The location of Cendevaves could not be better. There are three good button lifts directly accessed from the ski room door of the hotel plus a nursery slope area, whilst the main Sella Ronda ski area is accessed by a lift a 2 min downhill ski (magic carpet lift back up) away. We stayed in the Nightingale suite which was spacious with a very large round bed, separate walk-in wardrobe, separate loo and bathroom with jacuzzi bath and power shower. Our son stayed in a `Sella` room which would have been big enough for a family with children. The food in the restaurant is very good and the wine list is excellent and well priced. Service is first rate. The swimming pool is of a reasonable size, immaculately clean and just the right temperature. The wellness area has a very good steam room plus a Finnish sauna. There are three excellent rest areas. Thoroughly recommended…
