You can't beat the Hotel Vajolet for personalized service. The owner is always available and helpful in countless ways. When we had car trouble, she and her husband helped us understand the manual, in Italian, and then offered to call her mechanic. She was always ready with pointers about local sights and how to get there. We felt that we were staying with friends. The hotel is in the center of the town but on a pedestrian-only part of the street. So, we had both a convenient location and a quiet one. From our balcony, we enjoyed a wonderful view of the mountains. Our room, one of the lovely Superior Natura rooms, was brand new and spacious. These rooms have a full-length window into the bathroom with just a thin curtain. There are other room options for those concerned about privacy. The recently-built spa is just great for relaxing after a day of hiking in the mountains. And, the parking garage is a plus given the hotel's central location. All of this, plus breakfast and dinner, comes at a very reasonable price.…
This hotel is a family run hotel and Michela and Ivan have done an amazing job. The rooms are traditional and warm and best yet is that they have added on new rooms which are so in keeping with nature; the mountains the trees. Rooms which are built with slate, wood and the creativity of the this two-some are incredible and their wellness center too is a place that you want to lounge in and take your old sweet time about getting back to your room. They also have half pension and surprise surprise, the food is really good and so is the presentation; you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into all the preparations. A family hotel, a hotel for couples for relaxation as well as enjoyment; don't miss it!
We have just returned from our fourth stay at this wonderfully friendly, clean, and warm family run hotel and cannot recommend it enough. The welcome was as warm as ever, all the rooms (5) were ready on a busy change-over day and some of the party skied that day. The standard of food, and presentation, is exceptional and amazing good value for money. Breakfast is plentiful and the selection for dinner provides for all taste buds. An extensive and generally reasonably priced wine list also helps! Well done and thank you Michela, Ivan, Alex and all the team..... we will be back again.
We were nearing the end of our third apartment stay (during a month-long holiday) and were facing five nights before flying home. Because it was raining we headed to San Cassiano to visit the Cave Bear Museum. The moment we entered the village, the same thought occurred to both of us: why not stay in this charming place. We stopped at the Tourist Information Office and a very helpful young woman printed us four pages containing about a dozen accommodations that might fit our request for three nights B&B. We started to check out the possibilities and decided against the first one just from its physical appearance. However, the next one, Hotel Vajolet, looked very inviting. Only one staff person was present when we walked in to inquire, and he didn't have a key to the office to check availability. But he immediately offered us a drink while he called the owner, who appeared about ten minutes later. In the meantime, the young man took us on a tour of the hotel facilities. When the owner came, she quickly found availability and offered to show us the very room we would have later that weekend. And, since she knew we were coming just a short distance from the apartment, she let us know we could check in early as the room would be empty the day before. Both she and the young man could not have been more gracious and welcoming. We found this same cordiality throughout our stay. The room itself was huge with a comfortable bed, sofa, updated bathroom and plentiful toiletries. The breakfast buffet was substantial with meats, cheeses, all sorts of fresh breads, apple-filled croissants, fruits, juices, and assorted home-made cakes. Another excellent feature was the covered garage parking. And the location was on the edge of town, with a delightful shop next door with regional wines, cheeses, dried meats and specialty items. Finally, it was walking distance to a cable car lift, giving access to spectacular hiking, as well as walking distance to a wonderful restaurant. As we strolled through the village at night the full moon against the mountains was a breathtaking sight. We felt very fortunate that we happened upon San Cassiano and even luckier that the Vajolet accommodated us so well.…
We only stayed here for one night prior to a "package" stay at this lovely small ski village. The family who run the hotel are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms and food are great, with an extensive buffet plus hot choice for the evening meal, and excellent spread for breakfast. The wines were very reasonable (unlike in the other hotel), and there is a free covered car park- useful if you have a hire car without excess insurance as we had (less likely to be bumped).
