We discovered this place for his Michelin young chef restaurant. The hotel is charming with traditional Ladin decor, even if the rooms are unequally decorated and charming. The food is fabulous, and half board is a great recommendation. Service is the nicest. The only big defect is the wine selection and price : if the wines selected are probably excellent,...

Great food, location, service and spa. Friendly family run hotel to a high standard. The Michelin star restaurant does not come cheap but is a unique experience. The wine cellar is one of the largest in the whole of Italy. A chocolate room and a cheese room - what's not to like! A free shuttle into town if you want...

This was our third trip to San Cassiano (and if you enjoy skiing, comparatively low prices, well run hotels and stunning scenery you should definitely go) and the third hotel we have tried, each time paying a bit more. The Ciasa Salares is about a kilometre out of town set on a hillside with, to be honest, not the best...

Well, what can I say, the most wonderful hotel we have ever stayed at. Our travel agent booked us into the Ciasa Salares for a 5 night ski break before heading down to Venice. We really did not want to leave. Having done no research on the hotel ahead of our stay we were both truly taken back by the...

My husband and I have just returned from a week staying at the Hotel Ciasa Salares. It was our first ski-trip to the Dolomites, and from the moment we arrived to the second we left, we couldn't fault this hotel. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff, who were charming and kind at all times. The food and...

What an amazing place! This hotel is family-run, and their passion for the property shines. One morning I saw the grandmother picking fresh produce in the backyard garden, while during an evening reception, the grandfather served guests excellent local ham (speck) with pickles and horseradish. A grandson oversees one of the country's largest wine cellars and the extensive cheese selection....

We have had a great stay at this family run hotel. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Ebbe even left the hotel to make sure we found the right start to our walk. The breakfasts are delicious including homemade compote of mountain mytilli and freshly cooked eggs. There is a shuttle available to go into San Cassiano.

Returning after several years (but the first time in summer) what can one add? Still faultless service show casing the best of what a family hotel can be, exceptionally imaginative food and wonderful ambience to the public spaces. The two rooms we had were spacious enough and attractively decorated - better than I remembered - and the children, now much...

Coming back one year later to this hotel we appreciated again the warm and efficient hospitality. Very clean rooms, spacious common areas and competent service. The owner herself provides a close supervision of all activities, carefully looks at the preparation of dishes and interacts with the guests in a nice manner. We also recommend the restaurant which serves excellent breakfast...

Great hotel, great location and OUTSTANDING service!! The food at the restaurant was really good too. Everybody spoke English and they were all willing to help. I walked to the next village going down the mountain and it was a nice experience to see a small waterfall, some farms and the lift that takes to the top of the mountain.
