Glad for the experience we had at Eggele hotel. We spent 4 days in a comfortable room with everything we needed: from rent a bicycle to enjoy all the cycle paths around to the nice wellness area and the peculiar natural swimming pool...not to mention the delicious breakfasts and suppers.. The only thing not ideal is the distance from the center of S. Candido: after dinner you need to drive 8 km to get to the center for an evening stroll.

I travel a lot, but my stay in Rainer Eggele was one of the best. The family that owns it is amazing and they create such a lovely atmospehere. The hotel is very clean, designed in a very relaxing way, food is top quality, regional tasty products, wellness center is very relaxing with three saunas and a nice view. The hotel is situated in a lovely village two minutes drive from the "3 Zinnen" skiresort. You can either take an official shuttle bus or the hotel will give you a ride, both for free. They have their own ski shool, so you can book the lessons in the hotel and you can also buy the ski tickets in the hotel. The family members are extremely helpfull and always smiling, you can feel the nice energy in every spot of the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this lovely place! its a juwel. Thank you Evelyn, Hermann and Olga and all the others, cant wait to come back.

We (a family of 4 with two young children from California) stayed at the hotel in June 2017 and had a fantastic time. The hotel is run by the Rainer family, headed by the lovely Evelyn who speaks excellent English. The location of the town is very close to great hiking trails, and Evelyn gave great recommendations on where to go. The highlight for us was the meals! We had arrived at the hotel after spending two nights at another boutique hotel with a 2-star Michelin restaurant. The meals at Hotel Rainer Eggele, although prepared in a much simpler format, were delicious and held its own. We loved coming back after a day of hiking to a wonderful dinner. The Rainer family are very gracious and welcoming people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

A week skiing with Italian friends. We arrived to celebrate New Year in the snow after one of our group had stayed before and highly recommended this hotel. It was much more than I ever expected. Very traditional hotel with comfortable room with bathroom. Quality is in the detail,a great deal of thought into simply furnished rooms tailored for skiing or summer hiking customers. Exceptionally well maintained and cleaned. Great facilities to relax after a day on the slopes. Turkish bath and sauna and a natural pool outside for the summer. Nice bar for a drink and games. The restaurant also serves a wide selection for breakfast, but diner is a real highlight great variety to choose from and many home made dishes of exceptional quality that would be well received in many good London restaurants I know! As well as the great food the staff must take credit for there wonderful service. The family owners work so hard to ensure every guest is looked after whether in the dining room or the ski facility. Herman(father) was outstanding to help me achieve a life long ambition to ski. Markus(Son) worked tirelessly with a young member of our party to improve and encourage him onto the black runs. Mum and Elena on the front desk are always available to help. A real family team. Congratulations you all deserve recognition and success. Best wishes Ian.

We stayed here as a family of four (kids 2 and 5) for three nights on half-board in July 2016. The room was large and fairly quiet, although you could hear a faint whine of their bio-fuel power plant running if you left the bathroom window open at night. Location was excellent for outdoor adventures in the Dolomites, and Evelyn provided lots of useful information on nearby activities for our kids. Nice outdoor pool and playground with a trampoline, plus a small indoor games room downstairs. We unfortunately didn't get to use the sauna area as no kids allowed (and it closes at dinner time) but it looked nice. Food and service was excellent, with personalised daily menus and a range of options. This is a longstanding family run business and their experience and dedication shows!

We stayed in Rainer hotel for 5 nights (2 adults + 1 child age 9) in first week of january to have a little ski vacation on half board treatment. The hotel is located a few kilometers far from the beautiful village of S.Candido that is easily reacheble with car or by bus. The closest ski center of Versciatico in which you can join 90 km of beautiful slopes, is only 2 minutes car far from the hotel. The hotel is very nice and extremely clean. The restaurant service simply perfect with food and wine of very high quality. The hotel has a big SPA that is perfect to relax after a ski day. The rooms are big and clean. And at the end a note for the staff and the family that manage the hotel: they are incredibly friendly and ready to satisfy every request: once in the hotel we had the real possibility to disconnect the brain, they provide for us ski pass, ski lessons and equipment directly in the hotel!!! In conclusion a very wonderfull Stay, we'll came back very soon!

Beautiful place with incredibly good food. Ski lessons, equipment rental and ski passes can be organized easily, and the owners are really special, hard working people. The spa, although we did not take the time to use it, we had a look and wished we had more time! Incredible. Would def stay here again if we ever get the chance. An incredible holiday. Many thanks for everything ... Including the lovely footage you took of us skiing with my go pro! Really a fun memory!

I stayed at this hotel (as per previous reviewers !) as part of a group visiting the area on our motorcycles. The hotel is situated in a beautiful location right on the Austrian/Italian border, making it ideal for exploring the wonderful scenery in the immediate area. Considering the size and multi-national makeup of our group, the hotel staff looked after us without fuss, allowing us to take over their underground garage, their bar and restaurant for three days without any complaint !(we were very well behaved ...!) The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, the food was delicious and price very reasonable ! As my travelling companions have said, this hotel is an absolute gem with some of the friendliest hotel owners I have ever met. I am looking forward to my next visit to this wonderful part of the world.
