45 min check-in and check-out. Despondent staff. Apparently the staff was on strike; the rooms are large with plenty of light, however, due to the staff problems the bathrooms had not been cleaned. The hotel is in a wonderful location but has somehow lost the shine of its former glory. Despite the negative review, it may be 'worth a try"...

Thing is, this is a four star hotel. And you can judge it based on that. The results are pretty poor. Or you can judge it based on the price (I'm paying 50€ per night) and the results are pretty good. You choose. Now for the details: You get into the parc surrounding the hotel and think wow, this is...

The town of Salsomaggiore is well worth a visit, but quite honestly I don't know whether I'd stay at the Hotel Valentini again. It is an imposing building, and we weren't sure if we were really the right clientele when we drew up our battered Hyundai behind a gleaming Maserati outside the front door but the staff were friendly and...

Best budget accommodation for the budget traveller. Excellent location. Near town centre and railway station. Friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast only so so. I'd stay again any time.

Pretty comfortable and clean hotel, a little vintage, looking like the one of "Grand Budapest Hotel" but fascinating for this, just five minute walking from thermae center. I was here in winter season and I really appreciated the warm temperature of the hotel.Breakfast not excellent but good. I definitevely say ok for this hotel according to the price.

Wow, where do I begin. Originally our reservations were booked with the Grand Hotel Porro, but we were told that the hotel was not open and we were switched to the Hotel Valentini. This is ok as it really is the same hotel we were told. Not having been to the Grand Hotel Porro before, I cannot say. I did...

I could not think of a less comfortable place to stay. The rooms are dark, the halls are only lit after you walk in to them. The place must have been a sanitarium at some point. Many of the guests here even now seem to be on death's door.

I stayed here recently for 5 nights on a tour. The day our group arrived, several of us had problems with our room safes. Firstly, they were small boxes unattached to a wall so anyone could walk of with it, secondly trying to unlock the safe once it had been locked with a digital code was an art in itself....

A very nice hotel, but badly in need of maintenance. Some light fixtures did not work in our room and were not fixed. We had two TV sets, but not a single English channel - not really the fault of the hotel, but a couple of English in-house movies would have been nice. If you are out of condition beware...

“This town in general is one to avoid. Don't be fooled by the Therme symbols on the map. There are no baths here that can be enjoyed in resort style. The baths are in small institutional rooms that look like the movie set from "One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest" and you need a prescription from a Doctor to get any use which will cost yo around 40 euros from what I could gather”
