We stayed only one night at this Agriturismo, but it was one of the highlights of our two weeks in Italy. it is set on a hilltop with views of the countryside in all directions. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and there is a modern swimming pool with a sunning area. Close by is a winery that offers tastings...

We only stayed for one night, but it was long enough to allow us to completely unwind and enjoy the incredible hospitality. We arrived a little late in the day and whilst they said the kitchen was closed they promptly rustled up an incredible spread of meats, cheeses, fruits and bread as well as a bottle of wine.....definitely a good...

We just spent 4 days at Antica Torre. A family run agriturismo serving local dishes. Beautiful, lush setting on the outskirts of Salsomaggiore, a provincial town known for it's many wellness centres and thermal springs. The town is charming and worth a visit. The remaining countryside has many castles and in the fall is quiet and hosts few tourists. The...

Spent 2 nights here on honeymoon back in June. It is set pretty much in the middle of nowhere, which was very much the aim. The venue has a real barn type feel to it, with varying rooms in different buildings. Our room was very spacious, with a living room tied next to it. Right away we were made to...

This place is a real discovery. High up in the hills outside of Salsomaggiore Terme, not far from Parma, the family are extremely welcoming and the agriturismo is set in a number of well restored buidlings. Antica Torre is located in the region of Italy which lays claim to having the best cuisine in Italy and we did have some...

Me and my boyfriend spend 6 days in this lovely place and we hope to come back soon. The location is very nice, up on the hill. The hosts are the most generous and one of the kindest people we met till now :). Dinner is absolutely delicious, Vanda is very passionate and the dishes are all from the region...

For those who like the tranquility of being out in the countryside Antica Torre is nicely located only a few kilometers from Salsomaggiore Terme, yet with the quiet and expansive views of being in a rural location. Our room was very large with antique furniture - large ornate bed and dressers, and a nice view of the surrounding countryside. Although...

This family does everything with love! You will really enjoy the hospitality and the environment! The only thing what should be improved is the quality of the mattresses! That would be the cream on the pudding! We would really want to return to this place! The family also cooks with local products which is perfect! Don't hesitate, just visit this...

A wonderful, nice Italian family runs this place, and they are doing an excellent job. For three friends without a driver's license, it was a little hassle to get there, but this was taxi money WELL spent. The air is fresh, and the swimming pool seriously refreshing in July. They truly care about their guests, serve delicious food, and the...

As all people mentioned before: Rooms are large and comfortable, although a little bit outdated. However, this is not disturbing since you quickly feel like part of the family. They prepare many of the food themselves and you get to know a culinary round trip through various regions of the Emilia-Romagna including stories and background knowledge how the food is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Antica Torre is a biological farm holidays in a tiny middle of age village, once well connected to Parma and Piacenza castles. Among the green hills surrounded by nature and an absolute stillness, the town of Salsomaggiore and the food valley dominate the all landscape situated between Tuscany and Lombardy located near Ligurian See.Visiting these places means enjoy an historical and artistic culture made of typical food products such as “Culatello”, Parma Ham, Parmesan Cheese and many others that are the main symbols of Emilia Romagna’s food tradition listening the notes of Giuseppe Verdi’s Opera. The complex offers different types of fully furniture lodgings, both following a similar rustic theme. We have thought to call our rooms inside the Medieval tower and in the rustic buildings, with the names of maestro Giuseppe Verdi's Operas, like Traviata, Rigoletto, Nabucco etc.. For families or group of friends we offer large and confortable solutions. Our many rooms (dining room, living rooms and bedrooms) ensure privacy and relaxation, and the close relationship with the family make satisfaction almost guaranteed. An added bonus is the proximity of Salsomaggiore Terme City, with its renowned thermal springs. Guests are free to indulge, dedicating yourself to health and wellbeing. ... more   less
