This hotel is smack in the centre of the pedestrian zone of Salsomaggiore, with easy parking to the back. Beautiful walks in the parks nearby. Decor is a bit dated but it is clean. Rooms are very spacious and bathroom had a window, quite rare these days. Breakfast was included and was very good, with wide choice of sweet and... More

Hotel Regina is a pleasant stay, rooms comfortable, well portioned with a good bathroom, decent sized shower unit. Our room had a walk in room for clothes and suitcase storage, along with an inbuilt mini fridge. Rooms have views of the front park or rear, or which for us amounted to the car park as the hotel is in the... More

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel, we love it! The town is beautiful and the hotel is so central that you can walk in. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and just big enough for our short stay. As we travel by motorbike it is... More

Basic hotel in a great location. This hotel needs a make-over. You can imagine what it looked like in yonder years, and has a bit of a sad vibe. However the staff is pleasant, and the off-season prices are reasonable. Also a bit strange, you don't use "0" or "9" to dial the front desk, but some crazy 4-digit number... More

Excellent stay fantastic friendly staff would highly recommend it. Reasonably priced and our king sized room had spectacular views across Salsomaggiore and the wonderful mountains beyond. Already planning a return stay. Included air conditioning wifi and parking. Truly a memorable stay.

I could not be more grateful to Alessandra and the team at the Grand Hotel Regina. Last month i was married a short distance away in Vigoleno and i used the Regina to house around 1/3 of our guests from the UK for the weekend, as well as using it myself on several occasions in the run up to the... We booked this hotel at 8pm on a return trip from having to get an emergency passport in Milan, in a bit of a panic we arrived in at 9pm having booked a family room on booking.com for less than €100, significantly cheaper than anywhere else. What a totally pleasant surprise. It is a grand old hotel that is lovely... More

We would stay 1 day in Italy to catch another plane and we didn't want to stay in Milan. We saw the prices around and decided to go to Salsomaggiori. It was the best choice. It is not that close to Milan, but it worth it. The hotel is in a good shape, it is not a new hotel, but... More

We thought there must be a zero missing from the tariff, the price was so good. This place is a great little find if you are interested in exploring the region of Italy's most famous ham and cheese, without being in the centre of the city of Parma. Salsomaggiore itself is a little jewel with a magnificent spa bath...the building... More
