I've spent two weeks in Hotel Principe in August 2016. The hotel itself isn't new nor very modern - it reminds me classic hotels from the past. It's a family busines. If you prefer steril atmosphere of corporate hotels - search for something else. The rooms are OK. Beds are comfortable, restrooms spacious (at least in the "old wing"). What distincts Hotel Principe from other - is people and food. Persons working in the hotel are very friendly. I felt that they care about guests and their comfort. I have nothing but good words about them. And the food, the food was just fantastic. Nothing fancy, classical dishes from Emilia-Romagna, but the quality was beyond our imagination. I'd reccomend this hotel to anyone who would like to spend some time in great, friendly atmosphere.
Old like the city. Friendly as the people of the city. Central, as most of the things around. Practical, as the treatments that you may try. You must be Italian to enjoy the chat with the owners and obtain the oh-so-useful information on where to eat and what to visit. In short, a place for the nationals, run by the locals.
The hotel has the perfect place in the town, opposite the park and within walking distance of many restaurants. Sadly the hotel needs a total refurbish; there has been a man on the moon since the last time this happened. I have tried hard to find something positive to say but I failed.
