The room was fine, the staff were very helpful and the hotel was conveniently placed for the beach and surrounding areas. On the downside the food could only be described as terrible. How anyone with any sort of food taste could describe the food as fine must never have travelled far. Even evening the veg to add to your main...

Spent a week here having booked with The Travel Department who were absolutely fantastic. The hotel let the holiday down slightly mainly due to the food which was poor. This was not due to us being fussy or not enjoying European cuisine it was purely down to poor quality food. In fairness to the hotel staff they did offer us...

The hotel was full on 70's brown. The rooms were clean and ok apart from the army blankets. But the food! Breakfast was odd to say the least: slightly "fizzy" orange juice....and yoghurt. 3 pots of unidentifiable gunk. Coffee that was not what you'd expect in Italy( the machine in the bar was fine). If all you wanted was a...

We stayed at the hotel Giuliano which is a family run hotel. It was very clean and well run. Staff very friendly and dining room service was very efficient. The travel department deserve credit for this holiday as everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Anna Lisa the tour guide and bus drivers also deserve credit. Only one complaint -...

My wife and I have just returned from a terrific week in the Hotel Villa Giuliana in Riva del Garda, Italy. This was organised via Travel Department and the Belfast Telegraph newspaper. Prior to departing I had searched reviews via trip advisor and actually wondered if we had made a mistake after reading some of the reviews. well I can...

Rooms very clean and spacious. Location is good for both the lake and the town. Bathrooms a little old fashioned but working 100%. As mentioned before in comments though the hairdryer is zero use just bring your own. No complaints with the room or cleaning service. Food is the only let down, it is basic at best. Put it this...

The hotel was clean but basic (the hairdryer was awful). We used the hotel as a base for exploring the region and it was suitable for that. The breakfast was average. The wine we ordered from the bar was off, when we spoke to the manager she told us it wasn't and was just 'different' wine. This is a basic...

This is a family run hotel in a good location very convenient to the lake and within walking distance of the centre of Riva. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the cleaning staff do a good job. There is a nice pool and gardens with ample sun beds. However the downside is the food at the hotel. Breakfast is...
