Lovely hotel which is about 5 -10minutes walk from Riva centre. This suited us fine to return from this busy town. The hotel has a lovely spa and swimming pools and we had a large room which was immaculately clean and a pleasure to return to after a hot touristy day out. We stayed half board and the food was excellent and varied every night and breakfast had an abundance of choice. All the staff are very attentive and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel within the beautiful town of Riva del Garda. We will be returning.
Great staff and excellent service. Reception was helpful, kind and restaurant staff worked hard and nothing was too much. Always with a smile. The hotel did everything possible to make us feel safe due to the COVID-19 period, i.e. your own table in the restaurant during the whole stay. Breakfast and dinner all served at the table. A la carte dinner (4 courses plus salad), changing everyday. We stayed for 14 days and had 14 different menus. Room was clean, the sheets were changed daily.
It has been a really nice stay for a long weekend on beginning of September, the hotel is located in a very quiet location, with good services, bike rent for an easy access to the countryside and Garda lake and outdoor/indoor pool. A special mention to the very friendly and professional staff.
Everything was great, especially that we at arrival as a surprise received a free upgrade from Junior Suite to their fantastic Dream Suite. This suite is absolutely recommended if you have a romantic celebration during your stay. We loved it!
The hotel is very nice, very quiet and confortable place. near to the lake and the city centre. the staff is very helpfull and the food is also very good. every place in the hotel and garden is clean. the swimming pools inside and outside are nicy and well equiped.
We stayed in the hotel from 14/08 to 22/08 in a junior suite the 310 located on the third floor at the corner of the property with lovely views of the pool and the very manicured garden. Upon arrival we had a nice impression at the reception where we were explained all the anti-Covid rules both by voice and via a brochure . At the entrance to the room we notice a very very accurate cleaning and ample space for two people (the only advice (and not a criticism) that I could give would be to put a TV in front of the sofa so that you can relax without having to lie on the bed. Throughout the hotel the anti-covid rules are respected by everyone. At the restaurant (having opted for half board) the breakfast very filling and good was served at the table after compiling a menu for the current rules. Dinner had a main menu but alternatively you could also change all courses (5) through two alternative menus which overall were very good. it was a really nice stay thanks to the availability and courtesy of all the staff starting from the reception, to the barman with great cocktails and to the restaurant and not least the cleaning girls . We highly recommend it and we will definitely come back…
It was our dirt time in Riva. This lovely hotel was such a find. The main thing about the hotel was the wonderful staff. From reception, bar, restaurant and chamber maids they couldn’t do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The free bikes were great and staff happy to recommend places. Thank you Bruno for the great route to Arco . The outdoor pool was great and the indoor spa fab after biking or wanting to relax. Food lovely but the breakfast is something to behold. Just lovely. We now understand why we saw so many returning guests. The free walk with the owner was fun and extremely interesting. We will definitely be back and have already recommended to friends. Well done team for a great place to stay
Hopefully this review will give you pointers for you to decide on which part of lake garda and subsequent hotel to choose. As I went through lots and finally settled on the villa Nicolli. Its a no way a bad review of the hotel. Arrived late September and location to the old town is excellent a 10 minute quick walk or 15 minute stroll which we did on most evenings. We were half board which meant we ate out for lunch and drinks all of which in riva are surprisingly cheap. Cheapest bottle of wine in the hotel was 29 euros which is a hefty price to pay compared to 15-18 in the bars. We did stretch to a bottle in the bar of the hotel one evening, bartender was very nice even recommending select spritz to the bf who has now claimed as his favourite over Aperol. Service was excellent but the bar was lacking a lot of atmosphere. No real music or entertainment, not sure if everyone was in riva or in their rooms as the dining room looked full each evening. Now the dining for breakfast it caters very much continental so a choice of about 3 meats and 2 cheeses each morning and THE most amazing pastries. You could have eggs cooked and streaky bacon however no English style cooked breakfasts if that's what you are looking for. Lots of bread and fruit, yoghurt on offer so it was no bad thing we missed English breakfasts all week! In terms of evening meal we didmt realise it was a set menu each evening. 4 courses and if you didn't like what was on offer there was a couple of alternatives you could have but not many. We never went hungry but lots of dishes not to our personal taste and not somehting we would have ordered. A bit more choice would have been nice. We had the same table each evening which was nice and service good. We saved a lot of money due to prices in riva being cheap that we treated ourselves to a meal by the lake on the last evening. We didn't use the outside pool, it was deserted I assume to it being too cold. The spa looked well used but we didn't ourselves. Room was a good size and clean. The bed is very firm and so were the pillows which the hotel kindly got me a couple of softer ones. The balcony was Nice with 2 chairs but no table which I found strange. Little fridge in the room but you are instructed not to use it for anything you buy its just for mini bar use only. We were a young couple and the general market in this hotel was a bit older. If you are looking for a quiet retreat than this maybe for you. We would return to the hotel but only on a bed and breakfast basis as we love the choice in riva. …
We had the most amazing time staying at Riva del Garda, and the Villa Nicolli made our holiday the best ever. From the moment we arrived, till our checkout a week later, the hotel fulfilled all our expectations and more. The staff were wonderful, they couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel like we were the only people staying in the hotel, the food was fantastic, we loved every mouthful, our room was so lovely, it was all we needed. We had a lovely view of the mountains and it was cleaned thoroughly everyday. The whole experience was amazing, we loved every single minute of our stay and we felt a real sadness on our departure. From the lovely ladies on reception who couldn’t be more helpful, to the very attentive waiters and bar staff and the wonderful girls who clean the hotel to the highest standard, you are all amazing. You made our holiday Simply The Best, thank you 😊 …
We stayed at Hotel Nicolli 10 nights for our Anniversary. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the bedding, towels, spa robes were all lovely. Our room was small but had amazing views over the vines to the mountains and we found the hotel to be very welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and very well stocked with something for everyone, the waiting staff were also very polite and friendly. The big down side for us personally was the evening meal which was very disapointing. We did leave a few dishes and the staff offered a few replacements, some had been on the menu for two or three evenings, but they did what they could to rectify the problem. The food was basic and un - appetising and we would say not typically Italian, two pasta dishes and one gnocchi over ten days. Meat, mash or roasted potatoes and a veg portion were the regular meals we personally experienced. The spa was wonderful and we used it everyday along with a massage. Again spotlessly clean and very relaxing. Lovely cocktails made at the bar with fresh fruit. Riva old town was a short walk, where you can jump on a ferry to other parts of the lake. A very good bus service for getting around also. The weather was 35 degrees and one evening storm. All the staff were so helpful and i would give a 5 star but We have given the rating of 3 star simply for the food which is a big part of the holiday and sadly lets the hotel down in our view. However the food may be more to other peoples tastes.…
