I had a very pleasant stay over at the Hotel Darsena. I felt welcome by the family, who gave their best to make every guest feel as comfortable as possible. There was always enough time for a little chat or to ask for some recommendations how to best spend your time in Riccione. The rooms were clean and provided for everything, one would expect. Wifi was fast and the whole hotel was cooled down to a comfortable level. I was surpised by the quality of the food provided, which was quite a bit above the standards, I am used to, for a 3 star hotel. Every evening, one could create his own menu for each meal of the following day. Lunch and dinner had 4 courses with 3 possible options for each. For breakfast and desserts, there are seperate lists, which only change slightly from day to day. In the week that i stayed, I was never disappointed by my choice. The hotel is in 2 minutes walking distance to the beach, with an according beach club, where it was always possible to get a lounger, even during the main season. The main touristic street lies even closer in the other direction. Prices seemed affordable. During late August most other tourists were families or older couples. As the owners explained me, the city is well known for its clubs and party culture, however due to the Corona virus, all clubs in Italy remained closed. During the night, I could leave the window open without waking up from groups passing by or hearing anything from other guests of the hotel. The hotel seemed to be especially well equipped for families, which made up most of the other guests. The owner explained me that many of them were reoccuring guests, which would come back every other year. Some of them know the family for a long time and even send postcards from vacations in other places. I had a good time in Riccione, and if I'll ever come back, I'd be happy to be your guest one more time.…
We stayed 3 nights in this lovely hotel. We had a double room with an optimized space saver bathroom.... quite shocking to have an open shower - camping style - at first but I must admit that it was not a problem at all to use. Super clean... very professional and friendly staff. Literally in the middle of chaotic center. I would definitely consider it for an upbeat family holiday. But not for a relaxing holiday since the music from the bars around is loud in the rooms and there is nothing to do about that.... it is Riccione... ! Lovely!
It's long time that we spend our holyday at the Hotel Darsena and we are always happy to return again! The Tura family is very friendly and the Mamma cooks the best Italian meals we have never tried! The lasagna, the meat balls, all the vegetables and the salad at the buffet are unforgettable! The hotel is very clean and it's really in the city centre.
Close to the beach and very nice and clean. Too bad wifi was so expensive (12 euros per day). We also had trouble with the air condition. Other than that the room was nice and had a balcony. Breakfast was the best we'd had in Italy so far. Everything was fresh and waiters kept bringing in newly baked croissants and other amazing baked goods all the time. The ones filled with vanilla cream were the best I've ever had. Staff overall were very friendly. In the restaurant, lobby and those working on the different floors. They did everything to help us and were always smiling. We also booked tickets to Aquafan (a big waterpark nearby) with the hotel as a package deal, and were very happy with that.
