If it were possible on Trip Advisor, I would give Villa Scarpariello a score of 100!! We were there for a destination wedding and the entire experience was absolutely fabulous. Not only is the Villa itself a fantastic location with breathtaking views and lots of history, but everyone on the staff from the top down was friendly, professional and went above and beyond in providing assistance and recommending restaurants and places to explore. We stayed in the Regina suite and couldn't have been happier. Amazing views and relaxing times on the balcony. We would strongly recommend the Villa Scarpariello to anyone planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast.

This place is stunning. The grounds are beautiful, our room (Regina) was charming with a balcony and view that was breathtaking. We slept out on the balcony the first evening.
Room and water side area was clean and quiet. We swam in the sea every morning (and as we are from Scotland) the weather at 24 degrees was warm for us to spend our days in shorts and teeshirts.
The location is close enough to walk to Minori where you can catch a ferry, to Amalfi and Positano. The ferry is less stressful than driving the coast road.
Happy to recommend this place.

A hidden gem. We chose this villa for its family management and also for the valuable services it offers. The panoramic swimming pool is breathtaking, the descent to the sea and the solarium area are fantastic. It is priceless on the Amalfi coast to have all this at your fingertips as well as convenient parking. Emails were sent to us with all the information necessary for our holiday, we felt pampered and assisted in our requests. We appreciated the cleanliness of our room as well as the fantastic sea view, truly gorgeous!

We stayed in the Villa in September and one of the main reason we've booked this place was the pool. When we arrived we were shocked to see that it was totally green and cloudy. From our understanding the pool got overtaken by algae by messing up the chlorine content. It can be very dangerous to swim in such a pool according to the internet, nevertheless the reception said it would be fine to use but of course we didn't (we didn't see any guest touching this water) The worst for me was that there was no apology, our complaint didn't find any understanding from their side at all. I would have assumed that in a place like this they have at least some sort of guest management. All the other outdoor pools in the region looked fine and the Villa still advertised the "clean and blue pool" version on Social Media shortly before our stay so therefore it was really disappointing.

There are some positive things about this place. The views are very nice and you have direct access down to the water where you can swim. The room was okay but only cleaned every 3 day. The people working here are not that nice. Som perverted security guy walking around without shirt taking pictures and looking at the girls staying at the property. The woman in reception is not at all welcoming. You just get information around all the fees and what you should and should not do etc. No information around cleaning that only happened every 3 day. But worst of all was that when we came back one evening the emergency lighting was on and all other lights including AC was not working. Contacted the woman at front desk that said someone should come and look at it. This did not happen and when contacted again she said that they will come in the morning. So we had to sleep with emergency light on and no AC and it was super hot in the rooms. Just super crazy. As room was prepaid and we had to leave early next morning I asked for refund I first just got one reply that they were sorry then no more reply. We also had issue one day earlier with electricity so I think they have some major issue. Wold avoid this place as it is run by some awful people.

We have been travelling the world for quite some time now and I really wanted to love this place, it’s the one I’ve been most looking forward to but easily the biggest let down.
Firstly out of all the accommodation we have stayed at, this was the least ‘accommodating’. After a long travel day to get to the villa we arrived about an hour before check in, I messaged asking if we could drop off our luggage while we went to the shops which they replied saying we were only able to if we paid 40 euros?! Never ever had that kind of response from any other accommodation.
After sitting on the busy road with all our bags with not much room between the road and the front gate waiting for our time to check in l, we got a short greeting then pointed to our room, that was it. There was no information given about the villa or where we can find the pool, dining/sitting area, beach access- nothing.
There is a bar menu but there’s no staff around, when I messaged the number given in the email to see if we can order a coffee or a wine, no reply for a couple hours which we had already left by then to try somewhere else. Same went with the supermarket we went to as advised in their email, we walked to the map location and nothing was there so I messaged asking why nothing was there and never got a reply.
We were also told in the email to get your groceries before hand so we did, we got to our room and there wasn’t even a kettle in there. We had a bar fridge and that was in, no amenities as all. That would have been fine if you could actually order a coffee at the restaurant like advertised but that wasn’t the case!
You can only swim in both the pool and sea up until 6pm?? It is still stinking hot until 9pm and the sun doesn’t set for so late. We would get back from a day out and just want to jump in the pool before dinner but you’re not able to, the best you can do it a cold shower and stand under the air conditioner 🤣
On the checkout day, that night you are emailed your outstanding bill which they gave you 1.5 hours to pay! We were sitting on our plane about to take off.
After coming from another villa that’s a similar set up and having a complete different experience to this I would recommend finding another place, there are amazing ones out there!

Would not stay here

Came for honeymoon

Not easily accessible, you feel trapped when you are here. Difficult and expensive to get taxi or bus.

Front desk isn’t very helpful… couldn’t help get taxi. The lady was quite rude. The hotel sends you a guide, when we called the cab companies on the guide, they didn’t speak English well and refused to come.

No bar or drink service to get alcohol. No store close for purchase.

Busy road, difficult to walk to other towns.

Beds uncomfortable.

Appears outdated.

Would avoid and stay in Amalfi instead.

One of the worst places I’ve stayed in. The “hotel” is like something from the 1960s and is way below modern acceptable standards. There is no WiFi and there is no modern facilities. Rooms are terrible and uncomfortable. There are no staff and those who you interact with don’t speak english. There is over 100 steps to be taken up and down to rooms. And if you need any help or towels it’s extra costs. Literally. If you need help with your luggage it’s €10 per item. Really! And €5 for towels to use. When we left early we were moving large suitcases and one of the workers walked past my small girlfriend on steep steps with the case and just watched her struggling. Please do not stay here.

The villa and the nature around is amazing. It has its own sea entrance and enough space to be separated from other guests if you want. The umbrellas and sun lounges are included (no need to extra pay them). The pool and the views are amazing, very kind staff, nice room.

A stay out of time!

The location overlooking the sea and the lush greenery are the features that I loved the most.

The pool should be among the most beautiful in the world.

The staff is nice and discreet, available to customers for every need.

Breakfast under the citrus grove I miss a lot. Recommendation this structure to treat yourself to a cinematic experience.

Are there a lot of steps to the bus? Is it up the cliff?

The hotel/castle is built into the cliff side on many levels so you have to climb a lot of steps to get to the road where the bus is located

The two rooms we stayed in during different trips appeared to be one double bed with adequate room for my wife and I. I’m 6’0”, 200 lbs and my wife is a slender 5’7” and we were as comfortable in that bed as we were in any other hotel in which we stayed. Maybe more accurately, I would say the beds were the same size as the other “doubles” on the trip which included Rome, Florence, Milan and Naples. You could always email them. They may be able to add a cot to the room as well. I think you’ll find them responsive and reasonable.

Hi.....they do serve dinner a few nights a week on the open patio. We never ate there. We took cabs into other towns...and one night walked to the nearest town for pizza....fantastic. It's a long walk though....
