Antonio , the owner, treated us as special guests. He can not do enough for the people who are lucky enough to find their way to his hotel. We did the one week package, Italian Sensation that includes Italian lessons, cooking demos, a hike wine tastings, and more. Our accommodations were comfortable, although please be mindful that there is a flight of stairs to your room. The daily dinners were all gourmet. All in all, we had a terrific week in Ravello.

Hotel's Favorite
We wanted a base for our stay on the Amalfi coast that was off the tourist track (for the most part) and that didn't break the bank! Hotel Parsifal was the perfect answer! Set just a 5 minute walk from the center of town and commanding amazing ocean views, Antonio and his family made our 5 night stay in Ravello the most special part of our vacation. Their unparalleled service begins before you arrive. I had questions about transportation around the Amalfi coast and restaurants, all of which received kind, prompt and thorough answers. When our flight arrival in Naples changed with an arrival in Amalfi now late into the evening, Antonio offered to prepare plates of salad, cold cuts, cheeses and breads that we could eat leisurely in our room before going to bed. That gesture was so welcome as we had no dinner and lunch was a distant memory. Our room had a beautiful view of the hillside below and the ocean! Bed was extremely comfortable and provided a welcome rest at the end of busy days. The bathroom had a tub and shower, and included a bidet. Ours was a bit on the small side, a bit tough for a large man, but nevertheless served us well. A wonderful breeze kept our room cool and comfortable in the evening. The beautiful tiles that decorated our bathroom and room evoked the signs of a bygone era and lent a beautiful decorative touch to our accommodations. We were welcomed every morning by hotel staff in the breakfast room that, as well, held a beautiful view of the coastline. The cold buffet was generous and we, especially, appreciated the delicious fresh fruit so characteristic of this region. Coffee and coffee drinks made to order were also a treat! We enjoyed one lovely and delicious dinner in their outdoor dining restaurant on their terrace. Wanting to try other local restaurants, Antonio made reservations for us while we were there. Since Ravello is a destination spot for weddings, I strongly suggest advance reservations for dinners (and the hotel) be made during the "wedding season." A late afternoon snack and drink on their outside terrace was a wonderful way to relax after a day of sightseeing. If you'd like to get away from the crowds of the Amalfi coast, yet still enjoy a simply gorgeous location and base from which to explore, Ravello is the place to stay. Combined with accommodations at Hotel Parsifal, you'll have as close to a perfect vacation you could imagine.

All the hotels in Ravello have an extraordinary view of the Amalfi Coast, but what sets this hotel apart, besides the view is its amazing service. We were greeted personally by the manager, who was helpful in a dozen ways during our 5 day stay: recommending hikes, setting up trips to Pompeii, telling us the history of this beautiful cliff top town. Forget the crowds in Amalfi and Positano: Ravello is a peaceful, beautiful refuge!

I warmly recommend this hotel. The staff was especially friendly and helped us greatly with the planning of hikes we did. The view from the hotel was breathtaking. The level of the food in the restaurant was maybe not as good as we expected. Otherwise just perfect!

Beautiful historical hotel with lovely comfortable rooms and fantastic service from this family run hotel. We felt like family with great service from Antonio, Leonardo and their family. They made our holiday and we felt that we had very special service during our stay. We ate several times and everyone enjoyed their food. My wife and her brother have local roots in Ravello and we wanted to show our grandchildren their Italian roots and family and we had a very special family holiday based from the Hotel Parsifal Thank you to everyone at the Parsifal for helping to make this trip so very special for us

I can’t begin to describe how beautiful this place is! The Parsifal has a really cool history and this family run hotel is like a home away from home! Antonio was such a great help when I was planning a hike in the area… he took so much time to map it out and even gave me a book about the trail!

This hotel has stunning views, it’s traditional, old and rustic and the view and garden almost bought a year to my eye! Location is great as it is just out of the town/square, so very walkable but not in the busy, touristy square. The service was good, not exceptional, in that everyone was kind but did not go the extra mile. We needed a driver to get to our forward accommodation and the price quoted was extortionate, we managed to arrange a driver from our forward hotel for half the cost. Also, on checking out we had been charged for a room above what we had and 4 coffees which we had and breakfast and should of been included. All was sorted out without question and with apologies but…. Be mindful perhaps ravello is affluent when it comes to tourists and this was perhaps taken advantage of, in my opinion. Rooms, we did not sleep all that well, we had two singles pushed together which were extremely hard (we have a firm mattress this was very hard) air con was very very noisy so we had a choice of sleeping badly due to heat or sleeping badly due to noise which wasn’t ideal. Big plus, catered for gluten free which was lovely!

We arrived at the hotel on a warm afternoon , and Antonio promptly sat us down on the terrace overloking the breathtaking views of Maori ,Minori & the coastline .Then he served us a welcoming jug of iced water before we were booked in .Our room was clean, spacious , with a window ovelooking the garden which was full of flowers in seasonal bloom. We enjoyed our 2 dinners ar the Rafael restaurant with it`s unrivalled views , best ( local) wines we had on our trip .Enjoyed my serve of Baccala Cod raviolis , and ordered the best Chocolate cake for dessert twice! My wife and I enjoyed a few pre prandial drinks & nibblies in the Cloister area , so relaxing. Antonio and the Mansi family provided us with a high level of service , Antonio going above and beyond with his valued information about getting around Ravello. Thank you Antonio .We fully recommend the Hotel Parsifal .

Once again Antonio and family succeeded in providing a wonderful base for a hugely relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The food, drinks, service and accommodation are absolutely great - all set in the beautiful ancient monastery setting with gorgeous gardens and incredible views. We can't wait for our next visit and if I could visit more than once a year I definitely would - that's the aim! Very highly recommended.
