The De Stefano Palace Hotel is a conversion of an old building that had to maintain certain historic features due to government restrictions. This can limit the flexibility of the architects and can affect things like size of elevator, acoustics, placement of outlets, flooring materials, etc. This charming hotel became our home base for 3 nights. While the exterior is... More

The DeStefano has a good location, near the cathedral, restaurants and a grocery store, but there are so many stairs! Evidently, it was a former palace at one time, and converted recently. Our room, #34, faces the back and is very quiet and very small. We couldn't even open the closet door all the way because it was so close... More

I stayed 3 nights in Room 114, a huge room with high painted ceiling, fake mosaic tile floor, king bed, free minibar, free wifi, TV, good lighting, AC, free safe, desk & chair, easy chair, pillow menu and a compact brightly-lit bathroom with shower & bidet. Quiet & comfortable. The hotel staff were professional, efficient and friendly. I thought my... More

The hotel has some beautiful artistic ideas but I wish it had stuck to basics. Rooms are super small, and there is absolutely no counter space in the bathroom for putting personal items. We got creative and balanced our toiletries on the top of the wide facet. Additionally, they put in hotshots in the shower, so the water temperature kept... More

We stayed there nights and had wonderful breakfasts with helpful and responsive staff serving us. The pastries were delicate, fresh and delicious. Wonderful Coffees and specialty lattes/cappuccinos were custom ordered. Fresh seasonal fruits were plentiful. Breakfast made a great start to each day. Hotel was very centrally located between old and new town and nearby restaurants. Rooms were unique depending... More

I had room19 and it was large, comfortable with a door to a shared terrace. There is no furniture on the terrace. Reception staff is friendly and helpful. The room is well-designed with outlets everywhere I needed them. The bathroom, with shower only, had good hot water and water pressure. I was able to peek in room 18 next door, and... More

This hotel is a reconstructed building of some nobelty house, the structure is very nice and presents well from the nice entrance till every single detail like Etro robes or Bvlgari toiletries. They have a small spa with turkish bath, pool and massage room that are extra. Parking might be an adventure for those who are not used to the... More

A beautiful luxury hotel in the "new" part of Ragusa. Difficult to find your way through the one-way system, but once found the hotel gives a parking pass for local streets. The rom is one of the most luxurious we have stayed in, with lots of space and quality fittings. The bathroom was not huge but well laid out and... More

Hallways are convoluted - joined several buildings together. Front desk is very helpful Helped program safe and A/C - needs to have it keyed in at the front desk. Elevator is very slow for a machine that covers 3 floors. Room floor was very dirty Floor in rooms are slippery Limited shelves in bathroom. Internet was spotty. At times great... More

If in the region this hotel should be on your must stay list. The hotel is located near the old part of Ragusa, only a 10 minute walk with several quality restaurants only 5 minutes walk. The hotel is beautifully presented, old outside charm with a modern and clean designer finish inside. The staff were extremely accommodating with no questions... More
