The hotel is a transformed palace. You really can't tell this as the floor plan is very chopped up and the design of the former palace is not readily visible. Room large. One small chair. Lighting odd -- insufficient. Can't control the room temp. Shower has nice water but very very small. Good location. It is a 20-30 minute walk...

Quirky in layout, but charming, newly renovated, and located close to shops and restaurants. A-1 buffet breakfast with fresh fruit, delicious croissants (try the chocolate!) and a wide assortment of choices. Plus the best hot chocolate -- ask for it! Exceptionally nice staff at the desk and in the dining room. Good quality toiletries and linens, plus everything in the...

We choose the De Stefano Palace after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were very well surprised. The staff was friendly and ready to help, always with a great smile upon their faces. The room was clean and the interiors elegant and chosen with great attention. Staying in the De Stefano Palace made this sicilian break even more enjoyable.

This hotel presents itself well and the rooms are modern. Showers are tiny. WiFi connection is free and very stable. Breakfast options are good. Beds are a little soft for my liking but other travelers in my group liked them. Staff are very accommodating. English TV options are better than other hotels we stayed at on this trip.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel in October 2016. We had come from a farmhouse stay and this was luxury for us! Rooms were very nice and modern with large bathrooms. There was an outdoor balcony area which we used for drinks in the evening. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and staff was very friendly and accommodating....

Elegant hotel with beautiful surroundings and well maintained - spotlessly clean - excellent base for visiting old town of Ragusa - hotel is not in old town however and there is a substantial walk to the old town as far as step climbing is concerned. Did not realise hotel offered wine or any food - this was not clear as...

The reviews are very accurate. We stayed in Room 14 which is large and has the high decorated ceiling. If I were to go back I would specifically ask for Room 12 which has a tub. Our room was very clean-no carpets and I could walk barefoot on the tile floor. Totally agree with prior reviews that the bathroom is...

Situated in an old building, this hotel has been remodeled in a modern style. While there are steps, they aren't problematic, and really add to the interesting decor. Our room was large, with very high ceilings (which had a beautiful ceiling). Shower was a bit small. The central location allows for quick walking to the city square. Breakfast was good,...

The De Stefano Palace Hotel is a conversion of an old building that had to maintain certain historic features due to government restrictions. This can limit the flexibility of the architects and can affect things like size of elevator, acoustics, placement of outlets, flooring materials, etc. This charming hotel became our home base for 3 nights. While the exterior is...

The DeStefano has a good location, near the cathedral, restaurants and a grocery store, but there are so many stairs! Evidently, it was a former palace at one time, and converted recently. Our room, #34, faces the back and is very quiet and very small. We couldn't even open the closet door all the way because it was so close...
