This is a really lovely hotel. We stayed in a super nice room (not too big, but very comfy and clean), with a beautiful view on the inner garden and pool. Very quiet. Delicious breakfast, served in the patio overlooking the inner garden. Very good location to visit both Ragusa and Ibla. And the pool was a fresh escape that... More

What a find this hotel is, tucked away in a quaint residential street of Baroque style houses. Look out for the signs to the Villa as you negotiate the crazy roads and local drivers of Ragusa. Once you find the Villa, jump out and the lovely staff on reception will give you a local parking permit. Parking is a valued... More

If you want to be in Ragusa Superiore I recommend this hotel. My top reason for my recommendation is the gracious and accommodating staff. They couldn't have been more helpful when we arrived early and when we sought tourist advice or directions. The furnishings are really smart and the renovations to this historic town house make this is a relaxing,... More

The hotel is updated. The location is excellent. The garden is lovely. The staff helpful. Breakfast is good-especially the made to order coffee. That said. Our room (No.3 on the main floor) was dreadful. This main floor was at one time a stable and root cellar. The cave like atmosphere has some charm in the lobby - as the white... More

Our tour group of 16 stayed here for 3 nights. Terrific location in Ragusa Superiore, just a few blocks from the Cathedral San Giovanni Battisa square & the main shopping street. If you don't have a guide, it would be easy to pass right by the front door, since there is no large sign announcing the entrance or its presence.... More

Nice boutique hotel with a fairly good location. Don't get a room on the street side, lots of noise. Nice pool but the pigeon dropping where a bit much. Nice breakfast buffet and good wifi access from room.

The hotel is quaint on a very steep room. You want to walk a lot if you stay here. The lobby walls were curved stone and it seemed like you were in a cave, The pool and garden area were lovely. Breakfast was great and you are able to eat outside in the garden area. Our room was extremely large,... More

I stayed at Villa del Lauro for 3 nights in early May -one of many hotels we stayed at during a 3 wk trip with O.A.T. Most of our hotels were excellent, but Villa del Lauro was exceptional. Not only were the rooms generous in size, clean and beautiful. Those on the ground floor ( rooms 1-3) were particularly charming... More

The Villa del Lauro is in a renovated palace near the ravine between the upper (new) and lower (old) towns. The hotel is nicely designed with a mix of historic structure and contemporary furnishings. Room vary in size from large suites to small rooms. Some of room layouts are a bit strange which can be expected with a renovated historic... More

We stayed in room 6, that has a loft with two beds and no windows. The tiny shower is lined with purple tile, dirt and mildew! The TV on a desk next to bed, no matter how you twist your body, you could not see it. Tall person will hit their head in the loft :(( Wi Fi does NOT... More
