What a beautiful hotel this is . So pretty and with wonderful staff, food and service. The views of the Marina below are breathtaking. Maybe the bedrooms and bathrooms could due with an update for a hotel of this standard but they were not bad and this certainly did not spoil our stay.The pool area is nice if a bit small. The hotel has access to a private beach a short shuttle bus ride away although the chairs on the beach itself were set out a bit too close for our liking. There is nothing to do in this remote corner of Tuscany. The staff could not care less about your stay, they did not show you the way to the pool or restaurant. The beach is a 15 minute shuttle to the beach which is NOT private and the pool is freezing. The restaurant is overpriced and the food is cold. The rooms are tiny and have mild in them. The concierge can’t give one decent suggestion. Simple. DO NOT COME HERE.

A very expensive and beautiful hotel set in a unique location above the marina in Punta Ala overlooking the island of Elba. It would appear that the area is attracting many Russians who are very demanding and I would be unlikely to stay here in high season The food quality is excellent but very expensive and local restaurants offer better value.

Punta Ala was the best discovery in this summer trip, Italian chic at its best but also very discreet. When we arrived we had a quite small room but the managed solved very quickly and we got a nicer room with a little balcony. That was really nice. The hotel location is great overviewing the little port, service is precise and impeccable, the beach club is very nice (10 mn away) but it’s you have to pay it as an extra, which considering the price of the room should be included ! Aside from that I totally recommend this hotel and could come back anytime.

I spent the last 2 days of my vacation with my 19 year old twins at this incredible resort at the end of our stay in Tuscany. We stayed in the Villa, which was a large two bedroom, two bathroom layout with a dining area and kitchen. The resort accommodations, food and service were excellent, and made this short stay a highlight of our trip. The larger of the two gyms is located a short van drive from the hotel, and is a great space with beautiful views of the beach. The breakfast selection was expansive and beautifully presented, with options for my health conscious daughter and my less selective son, who enjoyed the pastries. We were sad to leave and will return one day soon. As is known to happen when traveling with a family, my son left his laptop computer in the sheets of his bed. The hotel staff reached out to us by e-mail before he even knew it was gone, and they shipped it to us right away in NYC. The staff made every aspect of our experience at this resort a pleasure and I highly recommend this destination to families and honeymooners alike!…

7 nights at the end of their season and we were delighted with our total experience. Service was exceptional. Thoughtful, charming and helpful staff. A lovely private beach. A gym with an ocean view. Gorgeous sunsets over the marina. Ate the best fish ever and served by a terrific team in the restaurant. Experienced a little piece of paradise.

Spent a few days at this wonderful hotel at the end of out Tuscan honeymoon. First, a few words about Punta Ala. It’s a great spot to finish off a summer trip to Tuscany. Maybe about 2 hours from the heart of Tuscany, Punta Ala offers great sand beaches and wonderful seafood in contrast to the heat and more earthy meals in the hilltop Tuscan towns. Its a great place to cool off, get some time in the ocean, and beat the high temps more inland. Fantastic for couples, has a strip in town with a handful of restaurants a few lounges which stay up late but quieter than other Medditeranean spots. In contrast to the tourist swarm in places like Cinque Terre or Amalfi Coast, the people here are still primarily Italians and Italian families who head there for the summer weekends/months. For couples and families its absolutely perfect. The hotel is the star. Situated above the harbor, it has fantastic views of the harbor, coastline, and sunsets. What especially stands out however is the personal touch. The service was impeccable, and everyone went above and beyond to make our stay special. When my wife wasn’t feeling well, the bellman drove us to the Pharmacy and even went inside with us to help translate. When they found out we were on our honeymoon, we came home one evening to find a wonderful desert waiting for us in our room and wishing us Congratulations. On another night we found a lit candle and flower pedals spread out. The manager of the hotel even came over to give us his best wishes and we had a great conversation. We couldn’t have felt more welcome and I don’t think there could’ve been a better place to celebrate our special trip. Bravo! Rooms all had great views, getting to the beach is simple, maybe a 5 min shuttle ride away, never had to wait more than a few minutes for shuttle. If you’re traveling to Tuscany or looking for that Italian beach experience, consider Punta Ala. And if you’re going to Punta Ala, stay at Baglioni Resort Cala del Porto. Or don’t, I’m not sure word should get out about this fabulous place!!…

The staff were fantastic and the restaurant exceptional the rooms a bit tired we had a suite but there were chipped tiles in the Bathroom not what you expect in a 5 star hotel. Note you have to pay extra for the beach which i think is a bit of a cheek.
