This place is awesome, especially the views and the service . . . and the food. The hotel is in Praiano, which is a gorgeous coastal town with spectacular views of the cliffs, ocean and of Positano. Praiano does not have much retail/shopping, but the benefit of that is that there is little to no traffic or crowds. If you want a quiet hotel with amazing views and top-notch service and food, stay here.
More than the incredible vistas on the Amalfi Coast, the succulent meals (THAT breakfast, seriously!) and the relaxing color palette throughout the hotel, you won't forget the exquisite and genuine hospitality.
Let's start with I am not a "reviewer" but our stay there made me feel absolutely obligated to recognize this hotel. This hotel is a gem and I'm counting the day until we get to return. I recently went with my husband and I can say our time wouldn't have been the same if we weren't staying here. From the time we got there they were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were greeted with sparking lemonade, champagne, and a room upgrade!!! Our balcony view was incredible. First, their location and shuttle service is unbeatable. It is very nice to be out of the crowd of Positano but also have the luxury of transportation for dinners etc. Another big thing that stuck out to us when comparing to similar luxury hotels throughout Italy was the housekeeping. They went above and beyond to keep our room clean/organized and gifted waters, hand lotion, sleeping masks, etc. It was our honeymoon and on our first night they treated us with a romantic treat with rose petals candles etc. Cant recommend staying here enough!…
We arrived after an “entertaining” drive of 1/2 the Almalfi coast. We were greeted with sparkling lemonade and welcoming souls. We had intended to just be allowed to leave our luggage, however they said our room was ready and helped us check in I believe it was 10:30am so we almost had and extra day. Michella gave us a lovely tour of the property before leaving us to settle into our corner room #110. When we walked into our beautiful room they had provided iced champagne, fresh apricots and a large blue hydrangea. In a white glove ready room. The view was astounding. We could see Positano and Capri, just a breath catching view. The bathroom is sleek, with 3 choices to distribute the water in the shower. I loved the waterfall feature the most. The bathrobes and towels are made by Etro, an additional luxury. We were able to select the comfort level of our bed as well as a choice in bath products. I won’t spoil all the little surprises they lavished on us throughout the trip because it was always a fun surprise. It was like the feeling I use to get when Nana came to visit and left me little gifts when I least expected it. When we were done gawking at our room and view. They provide transportation service by water taxi or shuttle to Positano. We took the stairs down to the beach and met the water taxi. A service worth trying at least once. The hike back up the stairs is shaded with plenty of places to pause to breathe and tell your husband you’re just taking in the view, as the gardens are lovely. We had a casual light meal for dinner at the hotel. My husband ordered a hamburger and I think it might be the largest hamburger I have ever seen. I loved being on the first floor as the next morning I could walk straight out the outdoor to the pool. It was too cool for me to swim, so I tried the indoor pool and found the space very relaxing. The exercise equipment is new and easy to use. If I could only have one recommendation to make I’d definitely find time in the holiday schedule to take a class with Executive Chef Leopoldo. He is a bundle of enthusiasm especially for cooking and thankfully a patient teacher. He taught us to make, gnocchi, eggplant parmesan, tomato sauce, mussels, and fish dish. Andrea was amazing translating everything for us and taking pictures and videos for us too. That was such a unique experience and concluded with sampling it all. And a graduation certificate which none of my family or friends will believe has my name on it. Chef Leopoldo also wrote out all the recipes for us to try at home. One last mention is the grand breakfast display. There was a young man cutting ham or cheese of your choice nothing left laying out overnight. Everything is absolutely fresh as if they picked it that morning. Anything and more is available for your breakfast delight. Staying here was better than I could have ever expected. I did not want to leave as it was an experience of a lifetime not just a few nights at a hotel. I believe I enjoyed being at hotel better than Positano or any of the other tourist locations which we were actually there for, but Casa Angela is a sanctuary from it all and we loved it.…
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Angelina. The staff were very attentive. Expect to be wonderfully surprised when you arrive. The worries of the world will melt away. The room view is exceptional. The food and drinks are terrific. The facility is outstanding. We highly recommended it -- so much so, we plan to revisit in the fall.
We loved our stay at Casa Angelina! The staff were amazing, food was perfect and attention to detail was at a level rarely seen. The view from the rooms was breathtaking! We can’t wait to return snd would highly recommend to anyone travelling to the Amalfi coast for a meal or a stay.
Easily the best 5-star hotel in Europe I’ve stayed at. The service rivals some of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Asia. The views, food, amenities, cleanliness are exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. We didn’t want to leave!
The hospitality, services, the location, the views, the food, the breakfasts, our room, the cleanliness of our room and common areas exceeded all of our expectations!! Thank you for an amazing stay. We will come back as soon as we get the opportunity!! /André & Mimmie
I have used TripAdvisor for years, but I waited until now to write my first review. I’m so glad I waited… this is an AMAZING hotel! We originally picked it based on their stunning pictures on their website. If anything, the hotel and its location are even more beautiful than the pictures. Even though it is only a 15 minute drive from Positano (via the free shuttle service), it is a true oasis from the throngs of tourists. The architect and designer were incredible in creating a facility that is truly unique on the Amalfi Coast. Others have written about the excellent food, and we absolutely agree. The breakfast had countless options that were top quality. The dinner at their restaurant Un Piano Nel Cielo (“A Floor in the Sky”) was on par with other Michelin Star restaurants in terms of the cuisine and service. And the view… What makes Casa Angelina my favorite hotel is the unparalleled superior service. From the housekeepers who surprised us with a bathtub filled with rose petals one evening, to the restaurant servers remembering our names and preferences, to the drivers making extra trips to and from Positano, we were treated like royalty. The head concierge Anita and her staff took care of all of our requests promptly, professionally, and always with a smile. When I forgot something at the end of our stay, Anita mailed it to me, and it arrived to my home almost as quickly as I did!! We are counting to days until we can return- truly heaven on earth!!…
