This hotel has probably the best pitch in one of the most quaint towns on the Amalfi coast. The views from the dining area and the balconies is simply breathtaking and unspoiled. We had room 114 with the uninterrupted sea view and generous balcony. The hotel design is modern and inoffensive - it's rather simple and not super luxurious. It's clean, the staff are super friendly so you can't fault the service. There isn't much to Praiano itself - so we either stayed in the hotel, where the food is excellent and it has a lovely pool and plenty of sunbeds - mostly filled with couples reading their books. Or you can venture down to El Pirata for some slightly more expensive food & cocktails. They also have a small sunbed area on the rocks, which you have to pay for, or you can venture 5 mins away to the public beach (there is no private beach), where you can hire sunbeds, water taxis, kayaks and SUPs. The hotel was only really let down by 2 issues - 1) the sound insulation between the rooms is dreadful. Thankfully the next door room, 113, was empty for half the week, but the other half of it, we could literally hear our neighbours go to the loo, shower and their conversation at normal volumes. 2) the breakfast was disappointing but I guess fairly standard European. It consists of a mediocre selection of meats, cakes, cheeses, pastries, bacon and scrambled eggs with some melon, yoghurt and granola. Acceptable - but just disappointing considering the cost and the setting. Overall it was excellent and I would happily stay again and recommend, but suggest you bring some ear plugs.…
Wonderful location near Praiano Beach and perfect for trips to Positano. Our room was beautiful with a lovely view. The service was great - friendly and helpful from all the staff the whole time we were there. The view from the pool has to be seen to be believed.
I’m really late writing this review, but we could not have been happier with our stay at the Onda Verde. We stayed early October 2019 and the weather was perfect! The staff was so helpful and courteous from beginning to end. The food was also amazing as we booked the seven nights package. The grounds and scenery were like living in a painting! My most favorite memory of our trip was listening to the waves and watching the sunrise AMAZING!! Carmen McCord😊
We planned to stay in the hotel for 1 night. However, the beauty of the landscape, the delicious food of the restaurant, the stunning breakfast with breath taking view of the coast and the professionalism of the staff, made us stay an extra night. The hotel is located on the coast of Praiano only few steps away from a little beach where you can find restaurants, bars (I recommend the "Il Pirata") and night club (The "Africana Famous club") on the sea. From the hotel, you can reach Positano using a water-taxi . This will let you discover how magic is the coast seen by the sea. We totally recommend and can not wait to return.
We recently spent 4 nights at Hotel Onda Verde and had a wonderful stay. The position and view from the hotel Is fantastic, being built into the rocky cliffs just outside Praiano. We enjoyed beautiful walks into the mountains above the hotel and many, many swims in the little cove below. Breakfast each morning on the small lane that looks out over the ocean & winds down to the sea front was a real highlight. We took taxi boats from the small harbor below the hotel to nearby towns & explored the entire area in a boat that we rented. In the evenings we walked to nearby restaurants & they were all wonderful. It was a perfect & memorable stay on the Amalfi coast!
