Pensione Casa Guadagno was recommended by a friend living in Positano. It's family owned and everyone there is super friendly. Rooms are bright and client. Free breakfast and WiFi is included. Fantastic views of the sea from the shared terrace. While the beach is a 10 minute walk away, please note that there are 418 steps to get there. Going... More

This beautiful family run Pensione has the feel of being tucked away into the cliff side and the glorious and Quiet view of the ocean; as well as only being a 15min walk to beach or 'city centre' area. Of a night rather than walk down into the busy area we went to the restaurants just a 5 min walk... More

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in room #7 with my wife and two of our kids. The kids had their own bed, which made it very accommodating. The location is great if you like a little more peace and quiet. Close to the beach, just 404 steps down, but should be expected if you visit the Amalfi Coast. They... More

This six room hotel has been run by the same family since 1954. Philoteo greeted us upon arrival and made delicious cappuccino every morning. Our room was great; comfy bed & pillows, crisp linens. We had a small balcony with table and chairs overlooking the water and boats from above .. just lovely! The bathroom must have been renovated recently,... More

The view was worth the 4 stars alone. Private balcony in room 3 was very nice. The location was great, with a buncha steps to Positano's smaller, less crowded beach and a short walk to the bus stop. Breakfast and hotel staff was good. Wifi wasn't great. Suggestion for hotel: send out an email with thorough instructions on how to... More

We stayed here for two nights last week and wished very much we could've stayed longer. We're a couple in our 40s and very seasoned travelers. Pensione Casa Guadagno was lovely in every respect. The room was well-appointed and the huge private terrace overlooking the sea was incredible. Situated on the cliff in Positano, you're far enough removed from the... More

We booked our room based on reviews but were a little shocked at the distance from the Centre of town. Unless you're a mountain goat I'd avoid this area. Around 400 steps straight down to the small beach or a 30 min walk into town. The steps back up are a killer. We were waking into town and catching the... More

The location is the best for those who do not prefer to be at the noisy and touristic center of the village. In case you dont want to meet tourists in every step, stick to this part of the village, still 10-15 minutes walk from "down-town". Rooms are descent and clean. The staff is very friendly. We forgot our passports,... More

My husband and I stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon in Italy. We absolutely loved it. The rooms are wonderful, bathrooms are nice, our favorite part was the balcony. What a spectacular view! We loved leaving the doors open at night. If we get to back again we will definitely stay here!

The Pensione Casa Guadagno was a very good place to stay while in Positano. The small family run pensione had a great view, was within walking distance down to the beach, and had lots of restaurants nearby along the walk. Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and a good breakfast included. Although this is a late review since we travelled in... More
