. Hotel Buca di Bacco is located in the heart of Positano in prime sea front position on the beach of Marina Grande, it is the ideal spot to experience the magical atmosphere of the place. It is an historical Hotel and Restaurant and dates back approximately to the 1920, today it looks very different from how it did at the beginning of the century. The hotel, which owes its origins to the old tavern is constantly keeping up with the changing times, the classic and plain decor was designed to offer a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere, the rooms have a sea view with either a small balcony or terrace, or a little garden. Among our services, Cooking Classes are available in our Restaurant and offers the opportunity to learn our regional cooking style. Once inside the hotel, the welcoming ambience will allow you to relax and unwind as the eager yet courteous hotel staff aim to please even the most demanding of customers.

I just arrived today. Great location right on the beach. The road doesnt come down to the beach so you have to park the car in one of the public car parks. And then its a short walk downhill. I was a bit put off before about the photos as I was thinking the hotel could be dated. But it is not at all. The room (29) is very modern, new fixtures and fittings, great sea view from the terrace, it is just in the style of the region with yellow and blue tiles. But everything seems new. Electrics by the bed side, flat tv, modern fixtures and fittings. This is a really nice place to come and stay and is the closest to the beach that you can get.

Location, location, location - that's what first springs to mind when I think of this hotel. We were lucky enough to have a view that overlooked the beach and the view was fantastic, the balcony big and room huge. It was great to be able to spread out and relax. We had two mini fridges in the room so went to a nearby grocery to get both waters and beers to keep cool during our stay, a large bathroom with a bath and a huge shower and it even had a proper comfortable bed (why is it that in so much of Italy it's more comfortable to sleep on the floor rather than on a rock hard bed?!). The service were great and they offered a ton of advice on places to go and suggestions on where to dine or beaches to go to. They also made calls on our behalf as well. Overall this was a great stay and I wouldn't consider anywhere else to stay in the town (especially as you don't have to drag your bags up a hill to get there!)

We have just returned from buca di bacco and all i can say is thank you to the staff for making it such a great 3 days. The hotel is spotless and the location is the best in town. The rooms are perfect, cleaned to a high standard daily. The hotel is strict on face coverings due to covid so dont let travelling to positano put you off. The town is doing an incredidble job in containing the virus. Everyone is temperature checked prior to entering hotels or restaurants. It was my partners firat time to positano and the staff of buca and the people of positano made it so memorable that we plan on returning this year. Thank you guys for everything.

We stayed at Hotel Buca di Bacco for 1 week in September 2019 and it exceeded all our expectations. The staff was wonderful and very helpful and the room with great balcony was just perfect to wake up to or watch the sunset. Positano is are favorite place so staying at this hotel was a year of planning, but well worth it.
