We loved our stay at Marincanto. The view is spectacular. The staff is super accommodating. We had a beautiful terrace with an incredible view of the water. The location is walking distance from all points of interest in Positano. Would definitely return.
The Marincanto is the perfect place to stay in Positano. Our room had spectacular views out to sea. Breakfast was delicious and in such a beautiful setting on the terrace. The staff on reception were so fantastic: incredibly helpful and thoughtful. We would love to return (and hope to!) year after year.
Super hotel with amazing sea views. We stayed here for five nights in a spacious superior room (212) with a french balcony facing the sea and a balcony facing both the sea and Positano. We loved it here. You can access their private beach using steps from the terrace. The staff were all so friendly, professional and accomodating. Breakfast was delicious. Dining is also good here. The pool is pretty but isnt heated, so too cold for October. We did lovely day trips - strolling through the town, hiking the beautiful Sentiero degli dei Trail from both ends (so that we could drive up there ourselves; Agerola end is best), and visiting Praiano, Amalfi, and Ravello. We paid extra to have our car parked at the hotel (32€/day)they have space for about 10-12 cars). There are also several garages in town (possibly a cheaper option?). Parking on the road is only possible just outside of town and it packed with local cars. We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.…
Three heavenly days. First of all, the staff are all exceedingly friendly and competent. Nothing is too much trouble. From reception (hi Natalie, hi Enza, and hi everyone else!) to the wonderful serving staff in the restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. Covid restrictions were always observed, and we felt absolutely safe. Secondly, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Spectacular views, gorgeous rooms, beautiful gardens and fantastic attention to detail. Also, immaculately clean. Thirdly, location. 30 seconds if you come via bus from Sorrento or Amalfi. A few (albeit steep!) steps to the beach and only a couple of minutes to the centre. It’s also lovely and quiet. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so special. We cannot recommend this enough. We almost never give 5 stars, but this truly deserves it. …
