We stayed at the Punta Regina for 3 nights as part of our tour of Southern Italy and wish we could have stayed longer! We had a deluxe special room which had a large terrace with sun loungers and a jacuzzi - it was a gorgeous place to relax and enjoy the view over the sea. The room was also very large with plenty of storage and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was great - the best of our trip. Rather than a buffet, there was a menu to order from and they brought everything to the table. The pastry selection was particularly amazing and seemed to get larger every day! The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the town, the beach and several good restaurants, so an ideal location. The walk back is all uphill but it’s not too bad if you take the road rather than the steps! The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful and gave us some very good advice on walking the Sentiero degli Dei footpath from Praiano to Positano. We’d absolutely love to stay here again. …
We stay at the Punta Regina every year (and have done for 15 years). Each year I think I will run out of words and things to praise. This year the welcome, the food and drink, the service etc were the same - that is totally wonderful. But then they get better. First Gianluigi now will take guests out on his beautiful boat. A day out with an expert local in a boat of traditional design. It is the proverbial trip of a lifetime. Second, COVID is a dreadful curse. But it allowed the team at Punta Regina to shine. The hotel is always spotless. The house cleaning team seem to make everything shine all the time. And the bar team always provide high standard hygienic service. But this time everyone went above and beyond to make everyone feel in the best of safest hands. As I say we come every year. This time my brother and his wife joined us. Like us they are experienced global travellers. They like the best hotels. It was no surprise to us when they told us they now love the Punta Regina too. A huge thank you and see you (please God) next year. Grazie, John and family.…
I traveled to Positano last year for my brother's wedding & it was absolutely beautiful. I can't recommend Albergo Punta Regina enough. Every single staff member was so friendly & helpful. They really went above & beyond to provide us with anything we possibly needed. I was concerned about not being able to set up transportation from the airport to the hotel, and they were so quick to respond to my emails & coordinated everything for me last minute. Wonderful stay!!! My room didn't have a view of the water, it was a street view, but still beautiful. If you can get a room with an outdoor space/ocean view, do it!!! My parents & my brother both had ocean views and they were amazing!
This was our 5th year in a row but a slightly different experience. It felt safe - masks worn by staff and guests in the communal spaces - except the rooftop pool and breakfast area, and hand sanitiser everywhere. The town was surreally quiet compared to usual! Apart from the great rooms and amenities as always, what makes the stay are the staff. Always genuinely warm and helpful. We also got a room upgrade so a much larger living room space and a jacuzzi bath. The highlight was a day spend out on Guinluigi’s new boat with just myself and my wife. Lots of swimming stops and beers and wines as we cruised up and down the coast. Highly recommend you do this if you get the chance. He can tailor it to your needs - lunch stops, evening cruises etc. Already booked for next year.
Really charming hotel with incredibly helpful and attentive staff. The pool area is spectacular and well worth spending whole mornings/ afternoons there. Location is great, with the ability to wander into town and reach all restaurants. All our activities and bookings were made through the front desk and people all over Positano seem to know the people to the hotel. Francesca, Gian-Luigi, Guiseppe, thank you so much!
