In a residential area, in the heart of Positano, there is located the ancient building which guests the hotel Villa Gabrisa, an elegant and refined hotel owned by the Rispoli family. The careful choice of each detail, just like Murano chandeliers or Capodimonte ceramics, makes every room special and the hotel's privileged position, just few minute walk from the beaches, wraps it in a fairytale atmosphere that every guest can feel it from each room balcony or terrace, which overlooks the sea.

We have been coming to this hotel for many years, it’s a family run more intimate hotel that is just perfect. The website really doesn’t do it justice, yes it’s higher up the town but with the most incredible views. There is a range of rooms to suite all, we always stay in the Junior suite with its huge balcony and new to this year hot tub. It has the most amazing restaurant, beautiful bar area and fantastic team. We are blessed as in we now know the family and hotel team really well but even so they are so lovely and helpful to all not just those they know. I highly recommended this beautiful hotel. Thank you to everyone we miss you 😘

Great Views, location, service and staff.
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Everything about this hotel was great, from the check-in to the greeting by the manager, to upgrading the room to a junior suite. The location and views from our massive balcony were to die for. I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know and don't know. Gabriel, the manager was great as well as all the staff. The breakfast buffet was very nice, thanks Rafael:) The room was cleaned immediately while we were having breakfast, so we can enjoy the view from our room without interruption. Thanks everyone at Hotel Villa Gabrisa for everything. Also, for your connivence there are two minibus services that circle around the town for 1.6 Euro per person, which we found to be very convenient, and the bus station is 30 feet away from the hotel.

    Best hotel stay ever!
Best hotel stay ever!! We stayed in the Junior Suite with a HUGE balcony and small jacuzzi/plunge pool and outdoor shower! The view is absolutely beautiful!! The furnishings and decor are clean and modern, especially the beautiful modern tiled bathroom with double rain shower heads. Yet the room still has Italian charm, such as the shutters, arched doorways, olive plant and furnishings. Large closet space with minibar and refrigerator, espresso machine, ironing board, safe, beach towels. In the USA a room this nice with such a huge balcony and gorgeous view would cost a lot more! The room and view are outstanding, but what really sets this apart is the service! Claudia was so kind and responsive to all of our needs, from arranging transfers, rescheduling due to Covid, and giving us recommendations on our walk. Jada was also very welcoming and friendly to us. Also, one of the owners, Gabriel, sat with us at the Tulip bar and chatted for an hour! This kind of service is remarkable and unlike anything we have experienced before. It felt like we were staying with friends! The restaurant is delicious with great service and views also! Try the Caprese Salad, Zucchini Flowers, and Sea Bass. Also the free breakfast was great, we had Cappuccino, Espresso, fruit salad, Yogurt, Scrambled Eggs and Croissants! I highly recommend staying at this hotel! Get the Junior Suite, you will love it! One thing to know is that the location is a little far from the beach area, which we actually liked because it wasn’t in the middle of the congested tourist area, however it does mean a long walk with lots of stairs. If you have mobility issues you might have difficulty. Villa Gabrisa owns a wine shop next door which is really nice and convenient. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to visit again!! :) Thank you Claudia, Jada and Gabriel for everything!

Quaint place with breathtaking water view. The staff specifically Giada was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the place was clean. You can see that the bathroom etc was newly renovated to match the colors of the sea. The breakfast was lovely with Al fresco dining and that gorgeous water view again. I would stay here again.

Back for our yearly visit to this wonderful hotel and family. This to us is a home from home, every member of staff is fantastic more like close friends. It has a fabulous view, lovely rooms, fantastic restaurant - what is not to love. This year due to a family illness we had to fly home early and the family made it so easy for us. This is a wonderful hotel run by the loveliest family that we are proud to call our friends

Not a great experience... By far the most disappointing part of my stay was the room. When you book the "Honeymoon Suite", it is not necessarily the room they show in the photos on the website. There are 3 "Honeymoon Suites", two of which have only a small balcony and have the views from the room itself blocked by a wall inside the room. Do not book that room type without confirming with the hotel you get the actual one they show. There is no discount for not getting the room featured prominently on the website and the hotel argues that they show photos of the other rooms on the website when the photos they show are legitimately of the showers in the other rooms. Speaking of showers... Speaking of showers, our room's primary shower was also broken the entire time we were there. It flooded our room and took 10+ towels to wipe up. I asked them numerous times to fix it and nothing was ever done. I would expect much better customer service for the rate I was paying. If I was returning to Positano anytime again, I would not stay at this hotel, especially if I paid for the Honeymoon suite and got a different room than the one featured on the website.

I cannot say enough good things about Villa Gabrisa! The staff were so kind and wonderful. I probably sent them 30 emails before arriving to help arrange transportation and excursion. Each email was answered thoughtfully and kindly! The hotel room was modern, almost all marble, and had a beautiful view of the sea. The room was IMPECCABLY CLEAN, had a good working AC, was expansive, and the shower and bathroom were updated and modern. Morning breakfast was included in our stay and was delicious. We had eggs, fresh pastries, cheeses and everything was delicious. The hotel is situated a little further up from the downtown area, which was lovely because it was quiet, but there was a staircase right by the hotel that led down to the water, making travel to the beach convenient. I would definitely stay there again!

Quality service by Francesco who recommended amazing wine, food and desserts. He was everything you would expect from a waiter at a five star restaurant. Also able to accommodate the needs of gluten free in every way. The food was exceptional starting from the chef’s complimentary tasting. Our family’s favourite restaurant this holiday travelling around Italy.

A very luxury and amazing experience. The team was very accommodating even months before our booking. A huge thanks to Claudia and the front desk team, they really went above and beyond in helping me pull off our proposal. The hotel is located in a very accessible spot with beautiful views. The Honeyroom suite was so spacious, modern and clean with a lot to offer. The breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. We visited in September with great weather to chill out on the grand balcony. Nothing to fault here and and hoping to stay here when we visit again.

This is our second 10 day stay at Villa Gabrisa. This time in the brand new suite of the annex. Once again, the rooms were superb. The team were so helpful and lovely to see Robyn and family who own the hotel again. Thank you all again for a wonderful stay.

Stayed at Villa Gabrisa with my wife for one night. It was an outstanding stay! Check-in was super smooth, and the Giada (Jade) at reception was was wonderful to deal with: friendly, welcoming and helpful. She is a wealth of information on Positano, suggesting dining options, etc. She is certainly a great asset for the hotel, and she made our stay that much more memorable. We gladly accepted our welcome beverage and she showed us to our room. The hotel itself is a small, intimate property with less than 10 rooms/suites (I believe). We booked the "Honeymoon Suite, 1 King Bed, Sea View" suite, and it was absolutely amazing. The suite was very spacious, had a separate bath and a double shower, and had a terrace with a breathtaking view. I'll repeat it: the view was breathtaking! The restaurant was closed for the low season, so we unfortunately didn't get a change to eat dinner at the restaurant -- that will have to be for our next visit! We did however enjoy the complementary breakfast the next morning, which consisted of a selection of coffee/tea, juice, eggs, bacon cold cuts, cheeses, bread, croissants, fruits, and other items, all of which you select the night before, along with what time you would like to eat. I would point out that the bar at the hotel was closed from around 4pm to 8pm, so we couldn't have a cocktail prior to going to into the town, though Jade was quick to offer to serve us a beer or some wine if we wanted. Valet parking was offered, but we managed to snag a paid spot just outside of the hotel. Check out was as smooth as check-in. We sadly bid adieu to Jade, but are looking forward to our next visit at Villa Gabrisa!
