Back in 2016 I visited this hotel and stayed in the room above the road. At the time it seemed annoying because it was noisy. But now, looking back, It was one of the best parts of the trip. I wish to correct my original rating of the hotel and of the room. I have this hotel to thank for two of the best days of my damn life. Sitting outside and watching the cars go by with the beautiful view directly behind. Thank you. Even the cars are beautiful in Italy. Request the room with the thick balcony doors.

We loved the Hotel Poseidon, breakfasts on the terrace and dinner at Il Tridente, the offer of a drink from four-legged Nino, Lucca and all the staff's amazing hospitality, and the upgrade to a suite was the best money I ever spent. We visited Hotel Poseidon last April! The hotel is beautiful and offers such a warm welcoming vibe with complete authenticity! We have traveled all over, and have never experienced such a place as this!! But, what is even better here is the staff who makes anything possible. My daughter was experiencing severe ear pain as we were traveling by train from Florence to Naples. I sent a message to the hotel asking for suggestions to an urgent care. Liliana responded that she would arrange a physician to meet us upon our arrival!!!! My daughter was feeling better within 24 hours and managed to enjoy our trip, as well as fly home without further pain. During our entire stay, the staff checked in and called my daughter by name! They arranged our drivers within minutes after sending a direct message asking for assistance! They even arranged for an early breakfast on our departure day so that my daughter could have food to take her medication! This place is beyond any further compliments I could explain. Our dream is to return here and reconnect with the most amazing people you will ever meet. Don’t look anywhere else- book Hotel Poseidon!!…

Hotel Poseidon is a magical place! The villa property is beyond charming and located with spectacularly romantic views of the town and the water. Our sea view room with terrace was beautiful and comfortable in every way. The dining room offered up wonderful dinners on the garden-like terrace lit with twinkly lights, and breakfasts were lovely as well. All of that said, it is the staff that sets this hotel apart from all others. Unfailingly kind and helpful, they assisted us with whatever we needed during our stay. Going above and beyond, when we checked out forgetting a vital medication in our room, they actually retrieved the medication and hand delivered it to us at our next destination in Sorrento, without accepting any kind of fee or gratuity. That stellar kind of guest service left us knowing we will never stay anyplace else when we return to Positano!…

This hotel was fantastic. The service was amazing, the room large and clean (with strong a/c!), and the location ideal. Tony at the pool was the best - kept the drinks, food and jokes coming. We had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant our first night. We had breakfast daily - it was delicious and included in the price of the room. It was a 10-15 min walk down to the beach and a 20-30 min walk back up (would take stairs down and road back up). Our wish was their command at the front desk - from dinner reservations to help with ferries and luggage. The owner was frequently on property and visible, which was a nice touch (along with Nina, his dog!). The little room with the fireplace off the bar was a cozy place to have pre-dinner cocktails. We stayed at the Hotel Poseidon for our wedding and everyone made sure it was a weekend to remember. Firstly, the hotel is stunning and the views were breathtaking! The staff were absolutely brilliant they made us feel so welcome and gave us the best recommendations for restaurants, beach clubs and excursions. It was a joy to wake up there on my wedding day, and i'll be forever grateful they let us use the beetle to take us to the ceremony. Thank you all at HP - can't wait to come back soon.

Absolutely beautiful hotel in Positano! I obsessed over where to stay and am so happy I decided on Hotel Poseidon. Before we even landed in Italy, the communication with their staff was impeccable. They made incredible restaurant recommendations (and ultimately reservations) and arranged for a few excursions too. Nailed it every time! Thank you, Aldo! Then upon check-in, we were blown away by the view from our room. We specifically booked a room with a sea view, but it exceeded our expectations with a sweeping view of the town of Positano and the Mediterranean. The room itself was also very nice - loved the colorful and large bathroom with plenty of room for all of our "stuff." The fresh flowers in the room were also a wonderful touch! We loved their on-site restaurant, Il Tridente, which also has gorgeous views. Breakfast was included in the rate and it was a feast! From made-to-order omelets to a large buffet of freshly baked goodies, it was a treat every morning. We also enjoyed several lunches and dinners at the restaurant, which is highly regarded on its own. The pool and lounge area located on the terrace were relaxing and never too crowded. What really made it special was being greeted by their pool attendant, Tony, every day! He knew our names - and by the end, knew our drink orders too. :) Being a family run and owned hotel, you can tell how much the owners and staff take pride in the property and care about their guests. I had the great pleasure of chatting with Liliana throughout our stay and she even helped me pick out sunglasses from their signature collection with a local artisan. So special! Absolutely great location. The grounds are very well maintained and the rooms are a good size. A bit on the higher end in cost but anywhere you stay in the Amalfi Coast will be and this place was worth the great memories we took away with us.The view from our room was breathtaking and the upper patio where you can lounge anytime of the day was so relaxing and beautifully set up especially in the evening. . The staff were impeccable with continuously making sure that guests were looked after. The breakfast and any of the meals we had were well prepared and presented no matter what time of the day. Between the freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh coffee and the selection provided in their breakfast buffet was so nice to have. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Positano. We absolutely LOVED Hotel Poseidon! We stayed in the Suite Liliana (2 story) and it was VERY comfortable. We never stay in 1 hotel throughout our entire vacation yet we did this time and HP was the best way to do that! From the moment we stepped in the door they made us feel like family. Everyone is SO incredibly kind and genuinely want you to enjoy every moment of your stay. The pool deck was our "go to" every day after our excursions and the staff there was equally as fantastic! We celebrated our 18th Wedding anniversary with dinner at Il Tridente and OH MY GOODNESS! We are super foodies and IT was phenomenal. We would definitely recommend Hotel Poseidon to others (we already have, repeatedly, to friends going to Positano next spring and summer) and would definitely return!

We visited Italy for the first time to celebrate our 10-year anniversary and this hotel and Positano was the pinnacle!!! The staff was extremely friendly and made our stay so memorable. They also gave us a bottle of Prosecco for our anniversary which was so sweet! We got there early and since our room wasn’t ready, they offered at slightly bigger room for a great price. We would have been fine waiting but took the bigger room. The views from our terrace and the rooftop bar and restaurant were absolutely breathtaking! We were in complete awe our entire stay. We went to the bar and restaurant and the service, drinks, and food was great! The staff at the bar joked with us and brought complimentary snacks that were great! We enjoyed the views and drinks by the pool during the day. The location is great because you’re away from crowds but it’s super easy to get down to shops. We took both the stairs and walked along the road to visit the shops and both were easy. The staff will help you with any of your needs and help coordinate our bags getting down to the ferry!! I highly recommend staying there - it is worth every penny!! Can’t wait to go back!…
