Our entire stay at Miramare was a dream! The room, the view, the staff...Rosita and Carmela were incredibly friendly and gave us great tips on local restaurants/things to do. They even organised a cake, champagne and flowers, for my birthday, brought to our room. One of the best views in the whole of Positano. Would very much recommend as the place to stay in Positano!
What a shame, we sadly walked away from here with a sour taste in our mouth. We had really high expectations about this hotel, especially when you are paying 250 euros a night. It started well and we had a room with a lovely view but when the morning came things changed. I have a nut allergy and was told I couldn't eat anything for breakfast... nothing! After a lot of back and forth between reception and the waiters on breakfast it was decided that I could have doughnuts. So I was offered 5 doughnuts for breakfast in a 4 star hotel. I complained and was told there was nothing I could do, I then complained to the staff later in the afternoon and was met with a lot of backhanded apologies mainly you should have told us before or just excuses. I have stayed in hotels all around the world and have NEVER told a hotel before going. Anyway, I was assured my breakfast the next day was going to be lovely, so once again my expectations were high and I, frustratingly, was given another 5 doughnuts just this time two variations. Really not good enough. Additionally we had ants crawling across the room and some ended up in our suitcase. Not impressed and massively overpriced.…
We stayed at Hotel Miramare for 3 nights and it was stunning. Best view in Positano and amazing, welcoming service upon arrival and throughout our stay. The room we stayed in had a terrace which was stunning. Room was really well sized and clean. Also the area is perfect, short walk to most places and probably 5 mins to the beach.
The Miramare is a beautiful hotel, tastefully furnished with excellent staff. I was staying by myself and had the single room which has a small double bed (perfect for 1) and shower room. The decor is classically stylish, understated but nicely done and high quality. The highlight of the room is the amazing and large terrace overlooking the bay. It’s absolutely beautiful and a great place to watch all the boats down below or read or eat. The common areas are also very nice and breakfast is served in a room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the sea. Breakfast is a comprehensive buffet and the hot options looked good also (made to order). Coffee was great! The staff are excellent - enthusiastic, helpful and eager to please. They gave me lots of information and arranged restaurant bookings. When I mentioned I was going to Capri they gave me a pre-prepared document with maps and general advice etc which was very helpful. There is no pool but not many in Positano have one and it would be useful to be able to make a coffee in the room. WiFi was excellent. Overall I have nothing but good things to say and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.…
From the second we arrived, everything’s been top notch. Hard to match views, rooms are beautiful, breakfast is great. Rosita and the staff were so accommodating, making us feel very special throughout the stay. Hotel is amazing, but the experience is even better!
