Wow! We loved our stay at La Fenice. Highlights: the grounds were incredible, one of the few or only private beaches in Positano, a beautiful salt water pool and whirlpool (with wifi), free breakfast and a light lunch, our hosts Constantino, Clementina and their sons went to great lengths to make our stay in Positano perfect.

We wish we booked longer but had 4 amazing nights here. the staff is amazing, we drove down so he parked our car and kept it safe. the breakfasts were good and we had lunch there that was even better! With our three kids we stayed with Costantino and his nice family for one week in a small house with two bed rooms. Stunning views over Positano's coast line. Excellent service and we enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool as well as the private beach with the two yellow canoes. We took the best pictures of our holiday from our canoes....... More

We stayed at La Fenice for 4 nights as a short baby-moon and we absolutely loved it! Positioned on the hill top, a short stroll out of the bustle of Positano with the most incredible panoramic views from the private balconies. The rooms are simple, rustic but clean and air-conditioned. Breakfast is served up on the top level, on the... More

I can't help but smile when I think back of our time at La Fenice-it was divine! We had already spent 4 nights in the thick of Positano and had 2 nights at La Fenice. La Fenice is like staying with family- the Mandara family are welcoming and so hospitable, their property is highly maintained and immaculate. Highlights of La... More

OK, LF isn't for everyone, for one thing there are a lot of steps. However, if you are searching for that one unusual, "romantic" and impossibly perfect hideaway on the Amalfi, well, this is it. Oh, and you don't mind waking up with a cat snuggled up next to you. So, blue skies, azure sea, great breakfast fabulouse view, rustic... More

Wow what a find. La Fenice is owed and run by Costantino, Angela, Julio, Jackamo and staff and they cannot do enough to help you in any which way. The room are spacious and cleaned everyday and our view was nothing short of spectacular from our private balcony. Breakfast is served on a slightly lower terrace which was a delicious... More

La Fenice styles itself as a B&B, but it's way and beyond that. Helpful, amusing and cant-do-enough-for-you attitude in perhaps what must be one of the best locations (by which I mean slightly away from the hordes) in Positano. A private beach, pool, lunch al fresco, breakfast terraces and simple, but comfortable, rooms retaining a relaxed and perfectly unsophisticated experience.... More

Small (14 rooms spread over 5-6 levels up the cliff face) family run property. Great views opening directly to the sea, fantastic balconies (check, not all rooms have sea views), with the balcony doors open bed looks straight out to a magnificent vista. Family members all keen to interact, all (mum, dad and the two boys) great characters, adding to... More

Oh wow, I don't even know where to begin with this place. It was our favourite spot that we stayed during our travels through Italy. It's so incredible. The staff are so helpful and warm, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and each have their own gorgeous view of the Mediterranean from their private balcony. The breakfasts in the morning were...
