Overlooking the bay of Positano, the Positano Art Hotel Pasitea is a perfect example of Mediterranean architecture, with its masonry, lava stone and wrought iron furnishing. Completely renovated, the Hotel has the typical terrace-structure which can be immediately recognized thanks to the magnificent bougainvillea coming up from the vulcanic rocks to underline the property shapes made of arches and vaults. The Hall has a blue flooring painted of white waves which reminds the water sea movement. The circular stairs leads to every floor from which enjoy a different amazing view of Positano and of the sea. All the rooms are wide, air conditioned, with satellite television and individual balconies overlooking the sea. Each one faces a wonderful seaside landscape and the suites have a seaview Jacuzzi. The hotel has also a very special wine bar, where it’s possible to have dinner, taste the best products of Italian gastronomy and chose from a great selection of national wines. Free Wi-Fi ADSL connection and efficient business corner in the lobby. Private car park with an extra charge.

We just returned from our stay in Positano at the Art Hotel Pasitea. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our room was large, modern and I loved the decor. We had amazing views form our large balcony which included a jacuzzi. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and I miss our morning cappuccinos and lattes. The service was exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Positano. Thank you to everyone at Positano Art Hotel for making our vacation so beautiful.

All of the staff members were super friendly and helpful - they accommodated all of our requests with no issues. The toiletries in the bathroom smelled amazing and it was so nice to have the large size bottles. Hotel was very clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated. Air conditioning worked great. Room was a little tight for three people but the huge balcony with unreal views more than made up for this! We spent hours on the terrace relaxing and enjoying the sights and sounds of Positano. You do have quite a few steps to get to the center/beach area but our family (which included people in their sixties) was able to do walk in about 15 minutes with no issues. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel - we never used it but it seemed very convenient. This was my first time to Positano so I have little knowledge of other hotels in the area for comparison. Unsure of what other similarly priced properties are like but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. My family and I loved the place and didn't want to leave! …

Beautiful hotel with picturesque views. Breakfast was good, lots of options and stayed in for dinner one night and it was delicious, the seafood pasta was amazing. About a 10 minute walk to beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

stayed here for 1 night with wife and two young kids. The place was very clean and the brreakfast was very good. the view from the verandah was captivating. Very helpful receptionist when we checked in. The fact that no recptionist at night was not a problem as we were given a key to get in and it was easy. Room we stayed in was pretty large and very clean. surely recommend this hotel.

We spent 4 nights in this lovely hotel. It is quite expensive (Positano is an expensive place) and up the hill - so is everywhere in this beautiful town. The views from our balcony and the hotel are quite breathtaking, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They organised an excellent airport transfer, plus same day laundry and the room was immaculate. We couldn’t get enough of the view. Breakfast was nice, very flexible, and the bus stop was right outside. We loved it here, highly recommended. Only comment was there wasn’t much storage in the bedroom although the bed was very comfortable.

We LOVED our stay at Hotel Pasitea!! Rooms were a reasonable size and our bathroom was a generous size also. Having recently been renovated we found it to be very clean, light and bright with incredible views from our balconies overlooking the water. We personally had a large balcony which was wonderful for creating some extra space. It is a bit of a walk into the centre, but a very colourful and pleasant one. You do have some steep flights of stairs to go down to the road for your walk into the centre, and I preferred to take the long way along the road back to the hotel as opposed to going up the steps. There is a very convenient bus-stop at the hotel door which takes you into town and back it preferred. Most walked there and bussed back to avoid the uphill stairs. The hotel is surrounded by some great restaurant options too which was very handy. Breakfast was also really lovely. This hotel accomodation was the best experienced in our time in Italy. The hotel is wonderful, and the staff is nice. It is conveniently located and going to the downtown area was easy with a lot of restaurants. The breakfast with fresh juices was an added bonus. Having also visited Sorrento which I felt was like a city, Amalfi which was ok, but Positano was the best and I am glad we decided to stay here. Ravello is also great but a little isolated and better suited for those who don't want to be around a lot of people and desire a quieter setting. Buses between cities are cheaper than taxis. However, the taxis get booked up so if you know you need to get a taxi plan ahead for sure. From our base here we also went to Pompeii (taxi) and Capri. Also, the rain does not last a long time so don't be afraid if the weather forecast states rain. We were going to cancel our entire trip as the forecast stated rain the entire week, but I am glad we came and had a great time. The views of the ocean from our room were really nice. …

Positano was our last stop in a two week trip from the US that included Venice, Florence, and Rome. The staff at Pasitea Hotel Positano went over and beyond to create an enjoyable experience, guide us on local options and make sure we were comfortable. A special thanks to Antonino “Tony” Gargiulo for his support and guidance. By far, our best experience in Italy.

Bed and linens are great. Room is really small, especially considering the price. Bathroom is small and pretty disappointing. Everything is of less quality than one would imagine For the price. Last week we stayed in Amalfi and for basically the same price, had a full suite with two full luxurious baths and not nearly as much hassle to get down to water level. Here it’s almost 500 steps!

First of all thanks for the review. We are happy that you enjoyed our beds and linens. These are very important details for a hotel. You have booked a deluxe seaview room. In all booking portals we also enter the average size of each type. We have assigned you a de luxe room which has a terrace with a spectacular view over the village. I understand that prices in Positano are very high in this period. But Positano is the most requested destination on the Amalfi Coast in this period. We also generally offer upgrades to customers, but we cannot offer this if the hotel is full. Positano is appreciated precisely because it is a village perched on a mountain that descends to the sea. If you don't like stairs you probably can't appreciate the charm of Positano. However, the stairs can be avoided by walking down the street, or by taking the public bus which runs every 30 minutes

We had a great stay at the Positea. The rooms were great. The view just wonderful. We had a lovely balcony looking down on the town to the water that was so enjoyable. We left the door open to the balcony on the day we arrived, when taking a nap to catch up a bit, just to enjoy the view when we awoke. I would say the only downside is that it is fairly high up (hence the beautiful view) so the steps are killer on the calfs. But we found the bus service which helped immensely. The manager at the front desk was so fun and welcoming. Breakfast was very good. One of the more reasonable places to stay in Positano.
