Overlooking the bay of Positano, the Positano Art Hotel Pasitea is a perfect example of Mediterranean architecture, with its masonry, lava stone and wrought iron furnishing. Completely renovated, the Hotel has the typical terrace-structure which can be immediately recognized thanks to the magnificent bougainvillea coming up from the vulcanic rocks to underline the property shapes made of arches and vaults. The Hall has a blue flooring painted of white waves which reminds the water sea movement. The circular stairs leads to every floor from which enjoy a different amazing view of Positano and of the sea. All the rooms are wide, air conditioned, with satellite television and individual balconies overlooking the sea. Each one faces a wonderful seaside landscape and the suites have a seaview Jacuzzi. The hotel has also a very special wine bar, where it’s possible to have dinner, taste the best products of Italian gastronomy and chose from a great selection of national wines. Free Wi-Fi ADSL connection and efficient business corner in the lobby. Private car park with an extra charge.

Just got back from our stay in Positano. Art hotel is very cute and great location. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast selection was great and the chocolate croissants were delicious! We had a great room on the second floor with a beautiful balcony view of the sea. Unfortunately, the pretty purple flowers that surround the hotel were dying but we had a great time. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Positano

The hotel itself is fine with good breakfast and friendly staff, particularly around transport and how to get around Positano. However, I found the price at almost €250 per night extremely overpriced for what you get. The room was tired, in need of redecoration and bathroom quite dark. The main issue for me was our air con that made disturbing noises in the night so I never managed to get a good sleep! Apart from that, the shower pressure is fine, balcony to the sea view is low in first floor so ask for a higher room (otherwise it’s mainly just a view of road and cars). I’d rate the hotel 3 stars, not 4 and definitely not be willing to pay so much.

Thanks for the review. I have read carefully what you have written. Of course, it would be interesting to know which room you slept in, also to understand why the air conditioning was making noise. If you could also give me this information via email, I would be grateful. I agree with you that the bathrooms definitely need to be refurbished, and we have been doing it, little by little, over the years. But our rooms are all in masonry and wrought iron, with new bed, new mattress, new curtains, new TV and new minibar ....

eautiful property with gorgeous views...watching the sunset each day, or just the rain, from the open doors of our room while enjoying the afternoon bar snacks and drinks was a highlight of the trip. Breakfast was delicious with good variety. The orange/carrot/lemon juice was a great find, accompanying the hot foods and wonderful pastries, some of them homemade. Afternoon snacks and drinks in the bar area were a welcome treat. Room was clean and beautiful with comfortable king bed, sitting area and hot tub. Service was friendly and helpful. Special mention to the very sweet young lady at check in, Leelo (?) in the bar, and the beautiful Francesco who seemed to be everywhere and do everything. Cannot wait to return.

They are the only open Hotel in February...They are centrally located...easy to walk down to beach from hotel or from left to up..where bus stops leave for the commute nearby places..We used SITA busses and went to Amalfi..40 minutes drive for 2 Euro..you cam find Sita.busses at every 30 minutes...much better than driving in these narrow roads.. Art hotel rooms are clean..Although they do not have central heating..if you open airconditoner at night, you can hear rooms very well. Breakfast menu is rich..Our flight was early..I found early bird breakfast poor..

Dear guest, First of all thanks for you review, we do appreciate that you find the time to do so. Please accept our apologies for the incovenient that you found, we recently switched from the central heater to the private one and that's to give our guest the chance to use it when they want, how they want and at the temperature they want. However we understand that sometimes it is not easy to make everyone happy with the choice we take to make our service better. Regarding the early birds: due to breakfast-time and the fact that the bar is closed 'till 7:30am, unfortunately we can't furnish the station with fresh products, they wouldn't last enought during the night and we do prefer to offer quality rather than quantity. All of our products at breakfast are freshly made in the morning by our collaborators, that's why it only has coffe, decaf, milk, orange juice, home made cake and pre-packed buscuits and pies. The early bird has been designeted for give to our guest at least something to take on the road. We will certainly work on it much more. Thank you again for your advises, we hope to see you soon. Have a wonderful day. .

Hotel full of punctures that refer to some artists, not enchanted by the decor, but is careful in the details, clean and has good breakfast! The city is a big surprise! Besides the thousands of steps, which are quiet talking, there is a museum that tells about the culture and all the evolution of generations! It is very worthwhile to go back in Roman times and medieval epics, in the careful excavation that was just opened! we love it !!!

Thanks for the nice review. We are always happy to meet such sensitive and cultured customers. We are happy that you enjoyed the pictures in the Hotel. Normally Art Hotels are managed by art collectors, in this case this is an Art Hotel because it is managed by artists. Thanks also for the nice words you wrote on Positano, and on the new jewel of Positano, the Ancient Roman Villa
