#14 of 38 hotels in Positano
Travelers' Choice
Le Sirenuse is a charming family owned hotel located in the heart of Positano. Opened in 1951 by the Sersale family who converted their summer house into a hotel with 12 rooms. The hotel has grown since then with the acquisitions of two neighboring houses to 59 rooms and suites. Le Sirenuse today is still run and managed by the Sersale family who ensure the same atmosphere of warmth and intimacy remain, while breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and the village of Positano make this an unforgettable place to spend a holiday.

How lucky were we! When we arrived at Parrot Cay this time we found out that Le Sirenuse chefs and staff had taken up residence here for a month. We had plans to visit them in Positano in April 2020 but that never happened. They came to us! The staff is lovely. We got to meet several throughout our stay when they visited the pool. The setting at the restaurant was perfect and it even felt a bit like we were on terrace in Positano. The service was excellent. They even brought their own plates from Italy. But this was all about the food. Spectacular! The bread was remarkable. They brought their own balsamic and olive oil which were delicious. We have no idea how they made breadsticks so yummy. When all is said and done we will have eaten here 5/7 nights. We got to try virtually everything on the menu. The burrata was perfect. The eggplant parm divine. Every pasta dish was perfection on a plate. (Note to self: we over cook our pasta!). The fish was outstanding, the veal superb, and oh my, the meatballs! Dessert? The lemon dish was a wow. The Neapolitan baba so yummy. Sad that we only have 2 more nights to try everything else on the menu. We can’t wait to visit our new friends in Positano! Bravo!

I have heard the siren call of Le Sirenuse for as long as I can remember, and this October we were lucky enough to be able to visit for our five-year wedding anniversary. From the moment we pulled up to the historic entrance, we were swept away by its romance and beauty. Positano is a bustling town, but stepping into Le Sirenuse feels like you have stepped into another place and time. It’s elegant, chic, sophisticated, luxe, and fun. Even in mid-October, near the end of the season, it still feels like a ‘scene’ and is just oozing with laid-back Italian glamour. We ate at Aldo’s, La Sponda, the pool, and enjoyed breakfast every morning of our stay. Each meal we had was remarkable. The cocktails, oysters, and vibe at Aldo’s were phenomenal, La Sponda was incredible and so unbelievably romantic (the musicians have been performing at Le Sirenuse for decades and were such amazing gentlemen!), the poolside service was fantastic and so chic, and breakfasts were a delight every morning. Really, our struggle was only convincing ourselves to ever walk out the storied doors of Le Sirenuse. The Sirenuse concierge team was incredible and helped us plan every last detail of our trip perfectly. Antonio and Giovanni in the restaurant were marvelous. And Vincenzo, who has worked at the hotel for over forty years is a legend. He makes you feel like he’s welcoming you into his home every time you step through the beautiful doors of La Sponda. Our room (number 21) was exquisite. The furnishings were airy and gorgeous - the blue and white striped canopy bed was an all-time favorite of mine. The bathroom was perfectly designed (I thought the cart under the sink was ingenious - not sure what the other reviewer was complaining about) and luxurious. Our living room was a fantastic mix of supple textiles and antiques. And, the best part, our two terraces with postcard worthy views of the town, church dome, and sea below. It took my breath away! Le Sirenuse lives up to its name and storied history in every-way possible and we cannot wait to return!

We can't thank you enough for your wonderfully kind review. We are so pleased you chose to follow the siren's call to Positano and even more thrilled to hear we lived up to you expectations. Thank you for mentioning so many of our team by name – we are a small, dedicated team with many working at Le Sirenuse for years which, as you indeed mentioned, is Vincenzo's story. It's particularly lovely to hear you talk about the private home feel of Le Sirenuse which is something we try to hold onto as a family run hotel. We would all love to welcome you back soon.

Also during our second stay here we enjoyed greatly the beautiful setting, the amenities (patio, pool, restaurant, ...), the slightly small, but well set-up rooms and the just fantastic view. Certainly a hotel on the pricy side, but well worth it.

My fiancé and I stayed in Le Sirenuse for 2 nights. The hotel itself is beautiful and large compared to the other boutique hotels in Positano. On arrival, we weren’t that happy with our room…(pool view) The rooms are very expensive and if you are paying that much, you at least expect a view. The room itself was spacious but our view was closed terrace doors and above the doors was the pool where everyone was swimming and making noise. We spoke to reception who moved us to a different room on the second night with the most beautiful view of Positano (we really appreciated it). The restaurant Sponda is lovely (our second time visiting) the food is exquisite and the musicians walking around playing and singing make the experience even better. If you enjoy the gym, it’s very well-equipped! They also provide classes on the mega former which I highly recommend! Thank you again for a lovely stay.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The service is unmatched and you can't beat the views. I highly recommend visiting during the shoulder seasons when the weather is still nice and there are a lot fewer tourists.
