I highly recommend the superior suite (the one with the large balcony). It has a million dollar view with an enormous terrace. The room itself was large especially compared to other places I have stayed in Italy. The beds were comfortable, and there was a double bed, pull out sofa bed and a twin bed. We had a small kitchen and dining table inside our room and a table and chairs outside, along with lounger chairs on the grand balcony. Angela and Martina took care of our every need. The hotel is located in a great part of Positano so you do not have to climb stairs as much as most of the other locations in town (like where my friends stayed). I thought that the value was great considering location, views, comfort. My teenagers and I loved it. I have attached 3 photos from our visit. The huge balcony and view was so great that I didn’t want to leave it to go anywhere, although we did walk to the beach and swim. At night the stars where amazing and we saw two shooting stars.

Squeeky clean, stellar views, lavish breakfast included, and staff super helpful in lining up transport, suggesting local attractions. Margharita, front desk, ran interference with taxi drivers negotiating prices, and accommodating us in printing up multiple covid test results, etc etc. Just a superb outfit.

My partner and I stayed here the last weekend of April. He is celiac and we needed a kitchen to ensure gluten-free meals. This apartment has everything -perfectly clean, a very nice room and probably the best view and location in Positano. It is only a few minutes walk down the hill to the center of Positano and to several parking garages. It is also just steps away from a little market which has everything we needed.

The staff was very helpful and kind. They brought us a wonderful breakfast every morning, including some gluten-free! I highly recommend this place two friends and colleagues – we will definitely stay here again!

After arriving in Positano after a few days in Sorrento, we were not disappointed reaching this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly (taking the time to explain a map of Positano when checking in), and the room was amazing. The view looks right onto the famous Positano hill and is only a short walk down to the sea front. The hotel also provide a lovely little breakfast delivered to your door which was a great touch. If you want a hotel with a view and friendly staff, this is the place to be!

Great central location in Positano, overlooking harbor and rest of town. The staff was very helpful and sweet, gave us great recommendations for restaurants, free beach towels and a bag to use, and the room was huge and with a great balcony. The breakfast according to our orders was served on the balcony, with the amazing scene of the sea and Positano splayed out if front of us. Literally paradise. Amazing place, amazing service, top notch hotel/guesthouse. HIGHLY recommend.

Beautiful enchanting views from every room! The place was clean, comfortable, very spacious and the location was great. We rented the Deluxe Apartments which was at the top of the hill and got the view of the Arienzo beach side of Positano. We absolutely loved to spend time in the terrace! There is a quick 2min walk to grab a cappuccino and croissant. The same place has cocktails and wine for an evening view and chill. Restaurants at the top were easy to get without reservations in early June but we eat early. There are some good challenging hills and stairs from the beach, but we loved the location because it was away from most of the day trippers.

This hotel is nothing short of amazing! We stayed in the sienna 2 suite and the views were arguably the best in positano! On most hotel booking websites this is known as a superior suite. We had a lovely balcony and terrace area with a table chairs and sun lounges. This is the 3rd floor in the hotel (the top floor) and there is no lift so be aware. The second floor below also looks like it would have great views. Breakfast was included and delivered to the room which we enjoyed on the balcony.

The staff are so helpful with local restaurants to try and places to visit. We were given a map on arrival and a good explanation of positano. The room was clean and had all practical amenities including a hair dryer and a mini kitchen area.

If we were to visit positano again I would 100% book this hotel. The hotel is very good value for money in this area.

Thank you for a great stay!

I cannot express enough how amazing our stay at Alcione Residence was. From start to finish each and every member of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. They truly made us feel like family. This was our third time staying in Positano, but first time at Alcione and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone. The rooms are enormous and you truly cannot beat the views from the terraces and balconies. Having breakfast on our terrace every morning was a dream, so lovely convenient. The staff was extremely helpful in setting up transportation from the airport as well as boat excursions. As someone who has traveled to Positano multiple times, this is a MUST stay!!

Alcione completely exceeded our expectations and we truly cannot wait to come back. 10000000/10 experience and would recommend again and again!

After placing this trip on a Covid hold, we finally made it to Alcione Residence. We reserved the amazing two bedroom apartment overlooking the beautiful coast (not the well known view of Positano), from our large, well decorated patio. The apartment itself could use new, more comfortable furniture, although we never used the living room. The apartment had everything we needed except a dryer BUT the staff went above and beyond to dry - and fold - our wet clothes.

If we return we will try and stay in the main building as it includes breakfast. It is also a bit closer to everything. We found a really nice market close by though who made us wonderful breakfasts. And was a great stop on the way back after a long day to pick up many different kinds of wine, beer and snacks.

Martina is very helpful and busy. Contact her directly to make your reservation. She can also help with dinner reservations (which you need in season) but don't count on a shuttle. The restaurants are quite far and their staff and the hotel do not communicate well. Find a restaurant close by, within walking distance, and make your own reservation.

We travelled as a couple to Positano in September 2020 and spent our final night at the Alcione Residence. Upon arrival we were given an upgrade for the night which was the perfect end to our trip. We had booked a standard double room and ended up staying in the Superior suite which had a spectacular terrace (see picture inserted). We honestly think it was the best view possible in Positano and we felt really lucky. The staff were really helpful and recommended places we should eat/visit in our last couple days. Overall, an unforgettable stay!

What is the annex? What kind of view do the 2 bedroom apartments have?
Answer from Romzter
3 contributions2 helpful votes
The annex is just up the road around the bend. We stayed at the residence for a few days and one night at the annex. The residence has beautiful views of the famous Positano cliffs and beachfront. The annex has amazing views as well, but of the other side of the cliff and waterfront. Both are amazing. The annex is a very large 2 bedroom apartment.

We were there in September, 2016. There was only one room that had laundry facilities. It is on a "by request" basis--wish I had known that when I booked. They will do laundry for you but it is quite expensive. We ended up using the jacuzzi tub!

Do all 2 bedroom apartments come with a sea view and large terrace?

The terrace is not too big but isn’t small. The ocean view is a beautiful sea view. It’s not directly on the edge of the mountain, but it’s only 10-15 feet away.
