Residence Le Terrazze was recommended to us by our very knowledgeable travel agent. We were spending 5 days in the Cinque Terre area and her advice was don't stay in La Spezia. We came into La Spezia by train from Milan and with our bags, it was easier to take a cab to Portovenere. Cost was a fixed 35 euros... More

To be fair. The place has three stars, and that is what it lives up to. The location is ok. A bit far to walk to the center, (not too far) but you can use the shuttle bus. There is a nice rocky beach right in front of the hotell and the view from the room is beautiful. Also good... More

We travelled to Residence Le Terrazze in Portovenere by ferry from La Spezia. This was a lovely way to approach Portovenere as you can see the whole bay as you come in. Le Terrazze is about a 10/15 minute walk from the main port, but it is an easy walk along the sea front. We arrived on a Sunday and... More

My husband and I spent several nights here while visiting the Cinque Terre. I wasn't able to find a place to stay in Cinque Terre because I booked our vacation too close to when we were leaving. I'm so glad I did, this place was beautiful. All of the rooms face the Ligurian Sea and all have a patio/balcony. There... More

Nice hotel, quiet and clean, far from the center, way to expensive. We arrived around 9.00PM and the reception was closed. We went to the restaurant and inquired about our reservation and a key was provided. When we asked about dinner, the response was that the restaurant is closed and will have breakfast in the morning...not the answer you would... More

We arrived at 12.10pm to find the reception closed until 3 pm - they are only open for a short time in the morning (for checking out and room cleaning) and from 3pm to about 6 pm in the afternoon. The hotel is located at the end of dead-end street, opposite a beach in a very quiet area (the main... More

We stayed two weeks at the resort. Nice appartments, superb location close to the beach, and a short walk to the city center. Nice and helpfull staff with Elvira and friends as number one ladies on the Ligurian coast. Portovenere should be the star of the cities in the Ligurian coast. We found it nicer than the Cinque Terre cities... More

Short on personality, short on staff, long way to centre of Porto Venere. Good bed, lots of space, reasonable view. But for Euro 155 per night, it's twice the price you'd really feel was good value. Try somewhere else first, and to be brutally honest - Porto Venere is over rated - good for a day trip, but no more.

Is more than a hotel, is an apartment at the beach. The rooms are simple, but really big and they all have a terrace, with an amazing view of the bay. The local is so quiet and good to sleep. You can go to the center walking along the coast, where you'll take the boat to Cinqueterre. The breakfast is good... More
