No staff, everything is old. Hotel was never updated since it was build in 60s, this hotel very hard to find because it is all the way on top of the hill, prices at the restaurant are outrageous (Talk about overpriced meals), no one eats there because there are no patrons at the hotel (GHOST TOWN). Breakfast consists of nothing but cakes and more cakes (not for diabetics). You will need a car to get down to Porto Santo Stefano but driving back up through unlit, narrow turns will be a challenge.

We loved Hotel Vitoria! Wonderful Staff, Fabulous View, Excellent Stay, nice restaurants. Be prepared to walk off your dinner and Prosecco and Amarone by going up and down scenic staircases between hotel and port town.

We stayed for one night enroute further south. They had parking which was great, the room was clean and the view Spectacular with a nice large balcony off the room. That however is as good as it gets- the rooms were extremely out-dated, no wifi in the room, the 2 small single beds pushed together were uncomfortable, and our wake-up call was the housekeeper coming into our room in the morning! That however is not the most outrageous..... When we arrived we explained we would like dinner but due to a recent stomach bug wanted something simple. Was kindly offered white rice with a turkey escalope and gnocchi. The food was good and the waiter very kind - The shock however came when the had the nerve to charged us €67 euros for that PLUS €8 for 2 small glasses of wine AND then €4 for the luxury of sitting on the terrace?!?!?!?!..... Surely that could have been included in EITHER of the over priced meal or the overpriced room at €126 per night!?! A shame as I thought the hotel had great potential initially and may have returned- but after feeling like you've just been ripped off - I certainly won't!

This hotel was located stategically on the way to our trip to the island of giglio. We found it warm and with lovely location and with room to move. Staff were good too, and nothing seemed like too much trouble.

I was there for one nightmarish night, and would recommend you not to repeat my experience. Yes, the hotel is beautifully placed with an impressive view from the hill, and a panoramic swimming pool. When it comes to the sleeping experience, however, it is very poor. The whole establishment seems a time capsule with furniture from the 80s, and apparently it was never renovated from that time. Rooms are quite noisy, bed was old, and, unless you like to wake up very early, you will hardly find here any comfort, let alone relaxation and tranquillity. Very disappointing, and low value for money either. Free wifi but slow. Strongly recommend you to look for different solutions elsewhere.
