We were lucky enough to be upgraded on arrival to a spacious one bedroom, two bathroom suite with two terraces, a hot tub, dressing room and living room and this set the standard for our three night stay. From the front desk to the breakfast servers, pool lifeguards and chambermaids, the staff could not be friendlier or more welcoming. Breakfast is delicious with many different choices on offer and there is even a pillow menu for the ultimate in comfort! The pool is huge and set in beautiful manicured gardens a short walk from the local beach. Porto Cervo itself is a few minutes by car where we found some great restaurants and bars. Highly recommend for a relaxing, tranquil break.

CPH Prevero Porto Cervo is a perfectly positioned hotel. Set in extensive and beautifully manicured grounds, it provides a relaxing and very peaceful experience. The staff are warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was very comfortable and with a terrace with views to the sea. Breakfast is full of choices and waiters are attentive. All in all an experience I would happily repeat.

-As soon as we arrived, we had the bad surprise to see the bottom of the toilets literally brown, once having asked for an explanation the reception simply told us that it was normal and that the problem came from the air conditioning… -the hotel has big drainage problems also concerning the shower, which forces us to wash with yellow water strongly resembling pee -Condensation problem on window doors -broken flush button Given the situation of our room, we asked to change rooms, one of the people at the reception simply told us that the hotel is full but the reality is that they were a lot of other rooms were available on their official website as well as on booking , she would rather lie than find a solution. We had to wait 1 whole day of living in mediocre conditions in order to change rooms! in summary I don’t advise this hotel claiming to be a 5 star which in reality worse than a classic campsite

Dear Summy B, we have seen your comments in regards of your stay at the hotel and we are both mortified and surprised to read the list of inefficiencies you suffered during your days with us. I think it is now necessary to clarify some of the points you have listed: our collaborators have promptly responded to your requests, immediately proposing the change of the room (which you have postponed after dinner). Furthermore, having signaled to us that you were staying with us on the occasion of a birthday, we have decided not to credit you for the cost of the room decorations you requested. We regret that your expectations were not met completely and we hope you will come back to visit us soon so you can check for yourself that we have always been active to ensure that our guests' stay is up to expectations. The management

Stayed at CPH for 5 nights last week and everything was perfect. The resort feels like a Wellness resort......Staff members, food, accommodations was outstanding. Very close to the beach which was very nice touch for relaxing as well but with 5 swimming pools you can always find a relaxing spot. You will definitely need a car to get around, but taxis are available as well as hiring a private driver.

The hotel is very good, but although it’s coined as a Small Leading Hotel of the World it’s not a boutique hotel. It’s quite big with plenty of rooms and infrastructure, so keep in mind when booking it. The hotels location is the high point, only a short drive to Porto Cervo (they offer shuttles too), has a lovely private beach (unfortunately no beach drink/food services) and all rooms have sea view. Naturally you pay for the location being in North Sardegna, so the impression I left is that I expected more for the price. Small things like not having a beach drink/food service, overall simple look of the room and a poor dinner restaurant (the usual problem of hotel restaurants, they aim and price more than they are actually are worth) refrain me from giving 5*. It’s still a very good hotel in a very expensive location, I would stay here again but I would like the hotel to address the small details above for a perfect stay.

We stayed here for 5 nights during the height of busy season in Sardinia. It never felt crowded, in fact we rarely saw any guests around. We were given a room on the 6th floor 602 down the end of the hallway. Quiet location with a little balcony and ocean view. We booked using Amex points. I beleive breakfast was included but we never tried breakfast but it did seem busy when I went down for coffee one day. Spa was great. Pools were good. Not heated though. The beach is a bit of a walk but they offer golf cart rides. We only went to the beach once one evening to check it out. It was nice with lounge chairs and Umbrellas. We ate lunch once in the restaurant by the pool. It was decent. And the bees swarming the food was a bit of an annoyance. Parking was convienent and I beleive it was free. Security was tight they armed guards roaming the property and someone checking the cars every day. Felt very safe and staff was very friendly. Room was nice and cold. Bed was comfortable.

What an amazing place. The hotel staff were great and very accommodating. The grounds were a sight to behold. Best pool complex I have ever seen. One big pool, and 4 other smaller pools above it that all cascade down into the bigger pool with private lounging areas everywhere. The beach is nice with lounges, towels and bottled water for hotel guests. But we frequently visited the larger Grand Pevero Beach right next door, maybe an extra 5 minute walk (but go early because there is only a small free part to the beach, the rest you have to rent lounges). Clearest, cleanest water I've ever seen and I've been to multiple Islands in the Caribbean. Breakfast buffet was great, unbelievable pastries. And dinner at the hotel restaurant Zafferano was great. Only downside was the crazy costs for food and drinks. 25 Euro for a Grey Goose and Club Soda drink, more than a pasta entree at the restaurant. But being on an island, costs go up. And you can tell from the local Porto Cervo that it is a high end area. Overall, great experience and would go back

Dear Tincup108, thank you so much for your lovely comments. We appreciate you are sharing your personal experience with readers and again our staff has appreciated to read the enjoyment you had with us. On the other hand we have done our checks and can be definitely guarantee our rates are lower that average rates you can find in locals of Costa Smeralda. In any way CPH is always very attentive to deliver the utmost quality versus the rates applied. In any circumstances thank you so much and looking forward to welcome you again here in Porto Cervo.

VERY expensive and just average quality for food, the charge 5€ for a bottle of water, 12€ for room service (yes, if you want something delivered, they charge extra and not tell you about it) Breakfast was included, but they charge extra (??!) for fresh juice, waffles, pancakes or eggs other than scrambled Main restaurant, Zafferano, barely average, and a whopping 100+€ for the menu. You can get a Michellin menu on the island for less than that Staff is friendly, but clearly understaffed, you can tell they are working lots of hours, same guy on the breakfast is on late dinner. Lots of management issues I was told Asked for my welcome macarons, still waiting for an answer. The rooms are nice and clean at least They have a few shuttles to the center, but don’t provide anything more, any 5 minute ride costs around 30€ in a cab Coffee capsules weren’t replaced everyday, when I asked about it, they wanted to charge extra (not even Nespresso) Housekeeping would leave one mere bottle of water at night, we were in 2, if you want another one, they charge Cost benefit not worth at all imo NOT A 5* AT ALL Expect to spend a lot of money

Dear Da8ball, we have seen your comments in regards of a stay in our property and we have taken note of your sensibility about "rates and values" for the services provided. We regret that you did not enjoy your stay, but please accept that your personal experience is also in regards of your expectations. In did the property offer services at cost and most of them are not included. We are always concerned about the quality of our services and we apologise if we were not into the condition to give you the value for money that you were looking for. On the other hand we have taken note of your dissatisfaction about the quality of our food and your overall knowledge about how many staff you need to have to run a property. Sincerely

We have stayed at this hotel for 10 days this month and had a great time. We were kindly upgraded to a suite and that made a difference for the stay, since we could enjoy two rooms and balconies . I wish to thank the Restaurant staff, especially Raimondo and Paolo, for the kind service and helping us with special requests. The use of the Piccolo Pevero beach is quite friendly, since we do not even have to carry towels with us.
