Firstly this is a beautiful building in a lovely location and they have kept old features to ensure its character. However, I understand putting in ultra modern furnishings would be totally wrong but some of the traditional 'decor' is actually well past its best and needs replacing. My mattress was as old as the building I think, I could only...

I stayed one night in Il Convento. It has been beautifully converted with quality finishes. It is exceptionally clean and well-appointed. The swimming pool is large and well laid out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a room without a view (which was fine for me) but it was exceptionally good value for money. The only downside...

We stayed in the hotel for one night during a trip through Tuscany. The hotel is located in a historic building offering nice views of the surroundings. The hotel therefore offers some charm although it is in urgent need of renovation and rooms are rather mediocre. The bathroom was really old. Breakfast is rather poor. Coffee was not drinkable which...

Staff was very helpful and our room was ok, nothing special. We came very late and the restaurant was already closed. I was hungry and they made me a couple of sandwiches and bottle of wine, I was very greatful of that. Gorceous swimming pool area and breathtaking views. If you want to stay close to the Florence but outside...

Riding about 1,5 km upon the hill, with gps easy to find the entrance of the small road close to the fuel station and just over a small bridge, you will come at an old monastery. You have to park opposite the small road where is a big car lot. First thing my eye felt on when we entered the...

We booked here for our last night in Italy. The road up to the old Monestry was steep and winding but we loved it. On arrival we was greeted by a lovely helpful young lady who showed us to our room. The rooms are old but we expected this and the balcony was lovely amazing views. We sat down by...

This place is high above Pistoia and requires a short cab ride. When we were there in late September, the prices were low, and the views were gorgeous. The restaurant was a bit overpriced, to be honest, but the staff throughout the hotel was quite accommodating, and the room with a balcony was our good fortune.
