Nice campsite, excellent quality/price ratio, well-kept tent pitches. Bathrooms always clean. Super campsite staff! Convenient to reach many beaches, Peschici and Vieste, the Umbra Forest. Nice swimming pool and green spaces. Possibility of renting a fridge. Excellent waste collection. Bathrooms always clean, but toilet paper or a shelf for your toilet paper should either be made available. Another suggestion: we didn't make much use of the entertainment by walking around in the morning, but the daily activities should be highlighted more, such as daily tournaments or evenings for those who perhaps visit towns and beaches in the morning. Sometimes we asked what would be done, but we had no answer.
The campsite is beautiful and has fantastic green spaces and sports fields, perhaps the entertainment team should organize the activities better also to involve the 14-17 year old age group. The potential is there. Thanks for all!

The campsite has great potential being located in a beautiful pine forest.
I have been going to the campsite/village for a lot of years, but the situation is still the same.. the bus/shuttle to the sea is unwatchable and there is no waiting pitch with a cover, which forces people to wait under the sun for its arrival!!!
The restaurant has an excellent quality / price and this year there were several evenings with live music that animated the campsite.

Comfortable brick houses surrounded by nature, beautiful and fresh. Restaurant with excellent quality/price ratio. Wide and beautiful beach. Very useful play area for younger children and large, clean swimming pools.
The only flaw is the very neglected and old shuttles. Soft and not too invasive animation. Apart from the days of rough sea it is clean with shallow water suitable for children.
Advised.

Attracted by the beauty of the landscape and the beautiful pine forest surrounding the village Calenella we decided to book despite the many negative feedbacks. Unfortunately the experience was definitely disappointing. The toilets leave a lot to be desired: despite the staff making quick passes with the water, the lack of adequate cleaning and disinfection is evident. The hygiene of the showers is such that they are avoided, and the situation is aggravated by the negligence of the staff. The pool, however pleasant, is guarded by an often inattentive lifeguard
The beach, while beautiful, is hardly accessible. The shuttle bus is always overcrowded, dirty and without the slightest respect for safety regulations, making the wait in the sun really exhausting. The elderly and children are forced to endure high temperatures without any protection.
As for Accommodation, the Bungalow we stayed in was in very poor condition for the price paid. Surface cleanliness, old and run-down furniture, and a bathroom without bidet with a battered shower completed an already bleak picture. The bathroom wall was literally falling apart, and despite warnings, the solution was only a hasty brushstroke.
The only positive side of the whole experience was the animation. The guys at Gioia Vacanze are committed to making our stay more bearable, with engaging activities and contagious enthusiasm. However, it is difficult to say that this is enough to compensate for the rest. Our holiday was ruined and I would not recommend it to anyone in the current conditions

It's not the first year I've been to Calenella. The place is located in a wonderful landscape context, in a beautiful pine forest. So far so good. Poor quality services. The toilets are embarrassing, the staff spends their days with a hose throwing water on the sanitary fixtures without ever using disinfectant detergents or even detergents. The toilets and showers are perpetually greasy that you don't even want to use. The swimming pool is beautiful, where there is a very young lifeguard and I doubt he has a lifeguard's license. Not to mention the fact that he spends his day glued to his cell phone. The beach is beautiful, but to get there you have to choose between a nice walk under the sun or relying on the shuttle bus, it's like getting on a cattle wagon. Dirty and always super crowded without respecting road safety regulations. Of course, the wait to return to the village is excruciating. Under the sun eating dust without a cover to shelter from the sun. Children and the elderly baking in the sun. Very poor entertainment in the hands of inexperienced kids with no initiative for the village guests. All this naturally with costs increased disproportionately based on the services offered. Last thing, the pizza at the restaurant is inedible.

Beautiful holiday, surrounded by greenery, a stone's throw from the sea, but also convenient with the shuttle made available by the structure. Clean Bungalows and friendly people. The only flaw: there is no newsstand with newspapers and an ATM. The rest is fine.

The bungalows are great, you have anything you need in the camping, market, restaurant, swimming pool, tennis courts, animation from day to night. Surrounded by nature, smell of pines ... IT IS AMAZING!!!!

The place is great, the staff super friendly, but... unfortunately the pitches are in the sun because of the various storms the pine forest has thinned and the best dates to the seasonal and cottages, dangerous trees, wasps that at dawn and sunset were ready to sting, throughout the village and many other guests have taken, baths cleaned twice a day only with the water pump and then left totally wet, very old showers where the showers often throw a jet of water too strong to hurt, untouchable and greasy walls, no cover so if it rains and you take a shower you keep getting wet, animation non-existent and that little 'unprepared, not even the steps of the game jourer know, beautiful pool but sixteen-year-old lifeguards always with their cellphones and smoking and do not even realize what happens in the pool, restaurant said great but I would say expensive with small portions and a cutlet served to a child too high, hard and filamented and undercooked inside, we talk about chicken so the danger of a chicken eaten undercooked we all know, separate collection service at office hours so uncomfortable, very dirty market, with products in bulk...

For campers it is a nightmare: finding a decent pitch is almost impossible, as most are already occupied by permanent residents. If you're looking for a bit of quiet, this is not the place for night-time squawks that last for at least an hour after the end of the entertainment, without any control. Hard to sleep before 2 a.m.
Sanitary facilities are dated and showers often do not function properly. Although the staff is very friendly, if you are looking for comfortable pitches with a minimum of privacy, quiet evenings and a place to rest well, we recommend you look elsewhere. We decided to leave five days ahead of our initial plans.
