    Pocket of paradise
My family and I booked last minute to stay at this lovely resort only to book the following night the following day. The hotel has a grand entrance and the interior decor was beautiful. The outdoor terrace bar is tastefully decorated with elegant furnishings, ceiling fans and a beachy style partition to the main breakfast hall. It reminded me of the Raffles in Singapore. The pool was perfect and the surrounding gardens some of the most beautiful I’ve seen at a hotel/resort ever. It would be great to have some pool beds on the grassy areas surrounding the pool and access to towels at the poolside, but I suspect covid is impacting these touches. The room was in a classic style, comprising a king size bed and ample space.. very comfortable indeed and we had a good sleep too. Aldo at the reception was fantastic in providing us with recommendations for dinner. We ended up having a late dining experience with direct views of the Paestum temples, I believe the temple of Cerere. Thank you, Aldo. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our 14 day trip. Everything was super fresh, well presented and there was plenty of variety. What was the highlight was the selection of local bufala dairy products - the yoghurts were amazing. Lastly, it was recommended that we dine at Tre Olivi. We only ordered a starter and a main, but were overwhelmed with the assaggi for appetizers as well as the display of deserts they presented after our main to complement the overall dining experience. Service was exceptional and local, cilentana cuisine out of this world. I would stress this be a dining experience if you are staying at the hotel or nearby. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future, and to Cilento in general.
Dear Reddes, thank you for your warm comments! We are thrilled to read that you enjoyed our hotel facilities and Tre Olivi Restaurant. We work to offer the best quality of services; your kind comments are very valuable to us and encouraging to our Staff who genuinely care about making you feel welcomed and comfortable. Again: thank you for your wonderful review! We are looking forward to welcoming you back for another memorable trip.

A Tip from coming to Italy .. Always go up a star in Italy .. excellent place. Very happy !!
The Savoy Beach hotel is a fab 5 star hotel with lovely friendly staff and service so the usual services you would expect Great breakfast buffet style with plenty of everything fruits cereals and home made cakes like the usual danish but grandmas cake was the local one that I loved !! It’s is very popular for wedding and we can understand why but all is enclosed and so the noise from the wedding we did not experience… but the glam we did,and to see all evening gowns …so a feast for me !! There is a private beach club called 93 and you have your own comfy Sun loungers with umbrella and membership is included in your stay with a driver service for the 600 m if you wish or to cycle down too!! We have our own car so we have done both !! Excellent set up serving drinks and food at your table on the beach !! They have a 2 star Mitchelon star Restaurant and recieved them both from set up within a year !! you must book a table ., for the olive at the Savoy . We flew into Naples Airport A very small and hectic airport You go out of arrivals and look for a white passenger van to bring you to the car rental area in the parking garage ! We drove down motorway 1 1/2hrs to the Almalfi cost The highway is crazy!! and they drive on the right hand side so be warned .. crazy drivers.!!

  • Beautiful Place to stay but very wedding focused
The hotel is without doubt stunning with beautiful gardens. The smells around the hotel are amazing. Cleaning of rooms twice a day superb. The hotel is out of the way, we recommend getting a train from Paestum train station, we got to Salerno for 3 euros each. We went on to hire a car from there for a few days (be warned Salerno is very busy as is Amalfi coast and Italian drivers like to beep and drive where they want!) Driving was a little scary 😂 The drive to the Amalfi coast was abt 2 hours. We visited the ruins nearby which we highly recommend ! It was around 10 euros totally worth it. The hotel is expensive for eating and not easily accessible other than basic breakfast. We ate a lot at the beach 93 or Athena across the road. You must eat at Nonna Sceppa, best place we ate, delicious! Taxi is 15 euros - make a reservation. The thing that lets the hotel down is the weddings, yes they are lovely now and then but there were sometimes 2 a day and this meant as hotel guests you felt like you were intruding on weddings simply by wanting to sit by the pool or in the garden in the evening. One night there wasn’t a wedding the lights were turned off meaning you felt you couldn’t go out there! They tend to push you to the beach. Beach 93 is paradise , the sun loungers on private beach and beds around the pool, good escape from weddings however even here closed twice early in the week we stayed for weddings! It would be nice to have a pool bar at the hotel if you wanted to stay there for the day and a snack bar. We took the bikes to the beach /pool most days but evenings you had to go out of the hotel to eat as there is nothing to do there unless you want to spend a lot of money in there Michelin restaurant. We enjoyed a massage by the beach, heaven and we did the wellness path at the spa. Extra expenses but worth it. Overall beautiful hotel and grounds but felt pushed to spend time away from there.

I just want to start off saying that I rated this hotel 2 stars not because of the staff or the hotel itself but more so because of the location. It’s described as being on the Amalfi coast but it is so far from everything. We stayed here for 3 nights but I have never felt more bored, it literally was a ghost town. The hotel had no vibes or energy and it almost feels like a rehabilitation centre. I would say to avoid staying at this hotel if you want to explore the Amalfi coast, only stay here if you’re trying to escape. The area it comes under is Paestum not Amalfi. The staff were wonderful and the food was great. If it wasn’t for the beach bar across the road we would’ve been even more bored. I would also strongly recommend not driving which is a mistake we made as there are no traffic lights or speeding restrictions, although there are speed limits, they are not followed and the locals drive crazy. Overall, I would give this hotel 2 out of 5, 1 point for the staff and 1 for the food. The hotel is very picturesque but BORING!

This was an excellent holiday the hotel was well maintained and managed, there were a few weddings on during our stay, but this doesn’t affect the hotel guests, not busy like more tourist areas, an absolute gem, food and drinks all excellent exceptional restaurant, helpful staff nothing too much trouble I’d give six stars if this was an option!

Almost want to keep this our little secret but this is the most amazing hotel in Paestum. The staff are so accommodating, so friendly and helpful. The hotel is gorgeous, has incredible views, is clean and just idyllic. The food was delicious and I highly recommend visiting Tre Olivi - a double Michelin star restaurant which is apart of the hotel. There is a private beach club with again incredible staff, food & views. Paestum is a wonderful part of Italy in which you can borrow the hotel bikes to visit, I already cannot wait to go back!

We had a beautiful stay at this hotel and despite other reviews mentioning weddings, whilst they were some during our stay, we did not experience any disruption to our stay. It was the perfect getaway. The hotel was quiet, which was brilliant, the staff were attentive, especially Giovanni on reception, who assisted when I thought was too small. He was not happy that I was unhappy, and did his best to rectify for us. When we arrived, we had a standard room which we upgraded to a deluxe which gave us more space. The hotel itself has an amazing spa. We had a couples massage and we used the spa facilities one morning too. It was worth the additional cost for the relaxation we received. The breakfast was lovely, even though some items were not standard. For example, you would need to pay extra for pancakes or for a fully cooked breakfast. However, the continental selection that was there was lovely. The food was fresh and delicious. We didn’t eat at the hotel apart from breakfast because we went out to local restaurants recommended to us. We had a car and were able to explore the area and would definitely recommend going into Paestum and using the train station which is local to explore the wider area. We used the beach club which was a lovely additional touch The only areas I would recommend for the hotel would be the cleanliness of the pool because of the colour pool has been painted a dark colour on closer inspection pool, water and bottom of the pool should be cleaned. The pool area would benefit by having more staffing, a café and beds with umbrellas, so you could have more of a stay by the pool if you did not want to go by the beach Also, the addition of coffee and tea facilities in the room is standard However, apart from this, I would not hesitate to stay at the hotel again. We had a thoroughly relaxing time.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely with the exception of the restaurant manager who made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It is a beautiful hotel but most evenings of our stay had a wedding or party on. This in itself isn't a problem if you can tolerate the loud music in your bedroom. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and there is very little going on in the surrounding area. Definitely need a car if you want to eat elsewhere.

The location was awesome. The hotel catered for the entire family and wedding party. The staff were absolutely brilliant especially waiting and bar staff as we had a good laugh with them. All it needed was an ice cream place nearby.
