Nice Restaurant with friendly staff and good meals. Very good Pizza, woodoven ! Beautiful view to the archeogical site. The Museum is nearby. The entryfee is 12€, including a visit to the site and the museum.
We were lucky enough to meet the lovely host Donatella when we booked in and she made our brief stay most enjoyable. Rooms are quiet and modest location is superb Thankyou from Francesco and Carmelita
My husband and I stayed for two nights at the end of August, having struggled to find any suitable accommodation in Paestum. It is in an excellent location right by the ruins and there are many reviews of the restaurant. However, reviews of the hotel are few and far between. Before we even arrived at the hotel, I had bad vibes about it. It was an easy walk from the station, but when we arrived, the girl who checked us in was very offhand and did not ask to see our passports. (We have just returned from a holiday in Italy where we stayed in nine places - rental apartments, B and Bs and hotels - and this was the only place which did not ask to see our passports). The room was dingy, small and worst of all the bathroom was, in my view, unacceptable in 2017. At first I didn't see the shower and then I realised that over the bidet and toilet was a shower head emerging straight out of the wall. I do not call this an 'En suite' room. Yes, some of the staff were pleasant - especially the 49 year old who served breakfast, BUT i resent a place which says it takes credit cards and then asks me to pay cash when I leave.…
Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Paestum. We had some issues right from the start as the staff could not find our Booking.com reservation. After a bit of waiting around, one of the staff came back saying she had 'sorted it'. We were then shown to a ground floor room which was in pretty bad shape and quite old with no air conditioning and a filthy bathroom. After a dreadful night, we complained and the same woman who had placed us in that room initially, sorted out a different room for us on the first floor which was a lot better. This room was in much better shape with very comfortable beds and most importantly had air conditioning! We came to the conclusion that the ground floor room must be a room that was not used very often or was maybe just for staff members. We later found out that the room is only used 'in emergencies'. Our second night was much better and much more pleasant in the new room. I would also recommend the food in the hotel restaurant as it is extremely good, especially the pizza. The staff were always very friendly and professional, even when we had to complain. Location is also fantastic as it is literally opposite the ancient city ruins. Overall our stay was not too bad but would have been better if we had been placed in the second room to start off with.…
It's the only hotel on the site.one sees it as you start walking towards the ruins.after exploring the ruins and museum,we thought we would have lunch in Paestum. The garden with tables seemed a pleasant area away from the main entrance and touristy scene . The pizza,s were good, the wine in carafe was excellent.unusual tiramasu but lovely to eat. It's quite large inside and good toilets The waitress was extremely helpful and pleasant
