This is a lovely Agriturismo located near the village of Ciconia and the delightful town of Orvieto (more on that later).
The property is a wee bit out of the way (about 15 minutes from Orvieto off the A1 Autostrada) but easy to find if...More
My husband and I were 8 days into a month-long dream vacation in Italy when I had a life-threatening DVT and many Pulmonary Embolisms which landed me in the regional hospital in Orvieto for 13 days. Lucky for us, I had pre-booked a two-night stay...More
On our family's recent two-week trip through Italy, we stopped at Antica Olivaia for two nights, in between our visits to Rome and Florence. I cannot say enough good things about this agriturismo. You can skip the rest of the review if you like and...More

The driving distance from Rome's Fiumicino Airport to Orvieto is 130 km if you are renting a car. Otherwise if you take the Regional train from Rome's central station "Termini" it takes about 1 hour and 10 mins. to get to Orvieto (ticket costs Euro 7.50/way) and then rent a car in front of the station (Avis or Hertz). You will need a car to reach our farmhouse as taxis can get expensive to/from Orvieto and this will also allow you to do some sightseeing in the countryside. - Marco, Owner
