Greeted by Roberto, the host, and he set the scene - warm & friendly welcome to his home. Had a great room, nice & large (actually had a separate bedroom & sitting room), bathroom was small but adequate. Our room looked out over the main street, sometimes a bit noisy, but interesting. Would probably recommend requesting a room at the...

Everything said about this great little hotel is true. Roberto greeted us like long lost children, he is the consummate host and Vittoria, his wife, is delightful. Roberto's mix of Italian and English all at once was a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and Montepulciano itself and wished we had longer there. Watching the World Cup in the square...

We loved the hotel and family. They couldn't do enough for us until they lost our passports then we were on our own at the police station and the consulate. After we returned to the states, they found them. You can imagine the problem getting passports reissued.....our flight home was the next morning. No apology for the inconvenience. I know...

The owner, Roberto, is marvellous. I've never encountered a more elaborate and mad welcome at any hotel in the world. Thankfully he has a gem of a hotel to back it up. Huge breakfast, helpful local tips, large rooms with proper queen size beds (not 2 singles pushed together!). A terrific find (following a recommendation on this website). We felt...

My husband and I just returned from a two week trip to Tuscany. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay in Montepulciano and highly recommend the family run La Terrazza Hotel. The owner, Roberto, did everything to make his guests feel at home and we were sorry to leave. We also had one of our best meals of the trip...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in June and loved it. The family who owns and runs the hotel is extremely nice and friendly and we felt sad to say goodbye when we left. Roberto was a lot of fun. He has a very nice wife, and two friendly, young-adult children who run a gelato shop just...

Montepulciano is a wonderful hilltop town in Italy. There are only a few hotels within the city walls - but it is definitely worth the effort to stay within them. La Terrazza is up the hill from the main road and below the main square - so it's well located. The rooms are clean and good size. Being Italy, there...

This hotel was comfortable in an old fashioned Italian style. The bathroom was well equipped and modern. The owner Roberto is extremely welcoming and fun (may be excessively charming for some). Its a little dissappointing that the Terrazza despite its name does not have any sort of view, but you are in the heart of Montepulciano which is the most...

We absolutely loved this small hotel in Montepulciano. Our room had a separate sitting area and a modern bathroom. The breakfast was great and was served by the very friendly owner, Roberto, who was the nicest person we met while in Italy. The hotel had a very nice balcony where we had drinks and picnic lunches and there was also...

I'm sorry to post so late (we went to Italy in May '04) but I wanted to make sure to sing this lovely little hotel's praises. The hosts, while speaking little English, were wonderful and our room (which also had a seprate sitting area) was very charming and completely spotless. Our great stay at this hotel was complemented by the...
