The receptionist (evening 20th of June) was very kind and gave us a good price for two double rooms for single use. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, the breakfast was fine. If we return to Montegrotto we will go again to this hotel located in the city center

Properly equipped rooms (nothing fancy but appropriate), kind and serviceable personnel, good location (close to the train station), creative cooks and well balanced meals offered, little to worry about on vacation! Visits to the many attractive places around like Venezia, Vicenza, Padova, Bassano del Grappa, Marostica and many other can be fully enjoyed... The best option is to stay on a full board basis : even if you miss a meal, these people are generous enough to make it up to you!

I wrote a review praising this Hotel last year and I am pleased to say it has retained its high standards. Very noticeable by the greetings of guests and staff that very many were returning visitors. It was noticeable that because the Hotel is situated in a geothermal area there is literally gallons of hot water available. The owners of the Hotel and their families dine in the dining room with the guests. The pasta and the fish dishes are highly recommended. In the resort itself I saw 3 Hotels that had closed and more empty shops were to let so it appears the recession is biting. The rail services to Venice, Ferrara, Bologna are very accessible, clean and on time. To summarise I would say that although it is only listed as a 3 star Hotel it is easily worth 4 and still not discovered by the British.

Stayed for 2 weeks in June on a full board basis and I cannot remember the same dishes being repeated for that time. The food is excellent and matches the hard working and friendly waiting Staff. Very good wines from all over Italy were available for the very good price of 12 to 14 Euros. We were issued with a dressing gown, a towel and flip flops for the pool and hydrotherapy treatments. The clientele were roughly 50 50 elderly Germans and Italians, there were only 4 Brits staying here but they were very friendly and always spoke. The resort of Montegrotto is definitely class with new boutique shops, terrazzo pavements, imaginative street design and furniture. The railway station is less than a mile from the Hotel with train services to Venice, Ferrara and Bologna. A bus stops outside the Hotel, tickets available from reception, to Padua and the nearby resort of Abano Term. In the centre of Montegrotto is a must, the patisserie Della Bona which itself is next door to swell stocked Deli. We are experienced Italian travellers and with out a shadow of doubt can say that this is one of the best holidays that we have experienced.

I have been in october. Two singles rooms. Me and my wife. Single room is very small. Rather uncomfortable. The matress is not stiff enough, considering that we come there to cure our backs and bones. Thermal area is very good. Steam grotto and sauna too. Pool water is very warm. Very good. It lacks an ice cold basin for reaction cold dips. Breakfast is not so good. Compared to other same area hotels. A rather low selection of food no pumpkin seeds and seeds in general. Lunch and dinners are very good. Food is a bit too salty. Staff is very nice.
