#23 of 24 hotels in Montegrotto Terme
The Hotel Petrarca Terme is located in Montegrotto Terme, near the main street of the town. The hotel is characterized by its 7 thermal swimming pools. The guests can find indoor pools in communication with pools outside; all are equipped with many jacuzzis. Outside, surrounded by a huge park of 40.000 square meters, there are other pools, for children, for the adults with hydro massages and one Olympic swimming pool with upstream water. The hotel is furnished with classical and sober style; the rooms can vary from standard or superior rooms, till the wider junior suites and suites. Particular care is for the choice of the food, in order to offer the guests authentic plates of the regional and international cuisine. For every kind of wellness and beauty treatments there is also at the guests' disposal a wellness department. Very interesting is the Vital Centre, a sort of path with sauna and bio sauna, steam bath, emotional shower, cold mist shower and yin yang shower. The Vital Centre 2 disposes of ice waterfall, Finnish sauna and hammam.

too much chlorine was placed, and it was impossible to use the covered pool, the eyes were stinging from the strong chlorine and it hurt the throat from the smell very strong, we could not resist to stay as late as we had proposed, it was impossible to resist and we decided to leave earlier than we planned to stay, the time we spent we could only stay in the outside pool.

I think this hotel is overrated. I would have given 5stars to it if it was a 3 stars hotel, but as a 4 stars it just deserves 2of them. The receptionists didn't make us feel welcomed, they didn't even explain us where the room was and they didn't even know where our id card was. I found out later on that they gave it to my mother who was staying in another hotel. The room was nice, not amazing. The breakfast was belove average.

We went just for the day and had a pleasant experience. People at the front desk are nice and helpful.we went on a Monday and it was still very crowded. The pools are very nice a And I love that you can go from inside to outside swimming in the hot water. It’s very eighties... probably need remodernation.

The hotel is really classic Italian (throw back to the 1980s) but immaculate and has all the amenities of a modern hotel. The hotel is huge. We had been to the spa only in the summertime, and this was our first stay at the hotel winter time. Roberto Corso, at the front desk graciously received us and made sure that we were satisfied with our appointed room. Kudos to Roberto for his professionalism and warmth that really made us feel welcomed. The spa and pools are opened till 11 PM. It was absolutely magnificent swimming outdoors in the thermal pools, lit up in the densest fog at 6 degrees C. The atmosphere was relaxed and the crowd was mostly young. The hotel must be very popular with locals, there were very few foreigners around. There are also many a curative treatments and massages that we saw offered. The price is right including breakfast. The breakfast was good, no fresh fruits or veggies though, lots of baked goods, meats and cheeses and the usual cereals and juices. The service was very good and I'd love to come back here again summertime too. The outdoor pools are fabulous.

On a cold and cloudy day we decided to visit Montegrotto and one of its thermal spas. We absolutely made the right choise and enjoyed it very much. On a hot day the water might be too hot, but for our weather conditions it was perfect - inside and outside. Next time we might stay for some days to enjoy also all the other amenaties of the nice hotel.
