Nice hotel in centre of town almost. Room size good and room clean if a little dated. Bathroom ok and clean. A comfortable bed but pillow just ok. Staff very helpful. Breakfast the usual European fare - no gluten free. We had a lovely room with doors opening to the front of the hotel square. Great village and lots of...

Got dropped off at this place on Christmas Eve as part of Cosmos/Archers "splendours of Italy". Had to endure the substandard conditions of room 365 for one night whilst being held to ransom for payment of €€€ to be moved to another room. Photos of the filthy conditions of ensuite posted to give reviewers an indication of why this hotel...

Stayed overnight as part of a Cosmos tour. This pretty as a picture pink-painted classic spa hotel building hides the loveliest old fashioned rooms ... French doors onto a juliet balcony overlooking the street populated by market stalls and view of the hills beyond in our double room; and our kids scored a large corner room with fantastic views in...

Stayed here with a tour group. The lady behind the desk when we arrived was so pleasant and welcoming. Nice outside patio where you could get a drink. Right across the street was a wonderful restaurant with decent prices. Hotel location allows one to walk to commercial areas and thru a park. Food served in the hotel was good and,...

Would recommend for the value based on location and Filomena is awesome at reception....she's phenomenal! She gave us excellent directions and restaurant recommendations. My aunt and I visited on an organized tour. Although the walls are thin, the hotel is comfortable and the rooms are adequate. Ask for a room with a walk in closet and balcony unless you're ok...

We were with 43 people on a tour of Italy. I had researched this hotel and knew we wanted a room with a balcony on a higher floor in the mother building away from the street noise. Our rooms were assigned by our tour guide, so we had no say in choosing. We got a corner room on the 3rd...

We light-lunched with a chicken and pine-nut salad which was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. The staff were very friendly even this late in the season. The alfresco eating was great on such a warm day. The hotel is well positioned to take advantage of the towns amenities.

My wife and I stayed at the Settentrionale Esplanade for two weeks and just loved it! We booked through a third party online several months in advance and were really worried about what we were going to get. Some of the recent reviews weren't so good but our experience was fantastic. We stayed at the Esplanade in a "superior" room...

We stayed here with a group of kids on a choir tour in Early July 2016. While the hotel is old, it exudes old world glamour! I found the rooms to be very clean, nice crisp cotton linens on the beds and lovely towels. The rooms were not spacious with 4 twin beds, but the closets in our rooms were...

Hello again to all my Tripadvisor followers! It's your traveling reviewer who just returned from Montecatini Terme and two nights at the Settentrionale Esplanade. Well, it sure wasn't what the pictures on the hotel website or the Tripadvisor website made it look like! The grounds and entry are nice, and the lobby and public sitting areas are lovely with a...
