The hotel does not deserve four stars but three are okay. It is located in a silent side-road and has a pool. Food is okay, service is friendly. Rooms are small, beds are narrow, mattresses let you feel their spirals, doors are hard to close. There is a small balcony, bathroom is narrow and towels are excellent. Overall we felt...

Just returned from a week trip in Tuscany. Accomodation was in Montecatini Terme at hotel Royal Palace ( good location), predominant for groups I suppose, quoted with 4* in Italy Really it's a 3 - 3.5*. Hotel is close enough ( walking 7 min) from the train station, train is the best way to visit Florence and the othe rinteresting...

The hotel is very clean but the choice of colours leaves an awful lot to be desired. The swimming pool looks as if it would benefit from a good clean let alone a refurbishment. Breakfasts are the very basic continental style and there is no toaster. The evening meals in the restaurant, with tbe exception of the soup, are almost...

We stayed here 4 nights while visiting around Rome, Pisa and Florence. Hotel is clean and tidy seems like they are repainting the rooms. It's a very basic hotel but good close to everywhere. The town it's in Montecatini is just a short walk from hotel and has some nice shops.

Upon arriving outside the Royal Palace Hotel, ankles swollen and out of Werther's Originals, I couldn't have been more desperate for a comfortable bed and some complimentary WiFi. Having travelled to Montecatini over two days as part of National Holiday's 'Taste of Italy Tour', I knew that for the price we paid (£369 pp.) we wouldn't be setting our feet...

Stayed at the Royal Palace Hotel for 4 nights whilst on the above tour with National Holidays so I though that I would combine the two reviews. I think that the overriding point with National Holidays is that it is quite a cheap holiday and you are not going to get (or should expect) a first class experience. This tour...

We stayed it the Royal Palace Hotel for our escorted Tour of Tuscany. The room was basic, certainly not what you'd expect from a 4* hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was adequate, but not Restaurant quality. The wifi was good. Also it was handy having a balcony to sit on...

We had a fourth floor room with the view of Montecatini Alto. Looking out onto the cloud covered hills first thing on a morning was a sight to see. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The free wifi in the rooms is a bonus. It is well situated for the shops and restaurants....
