Our greeting at this hotel couldn't have been different from the poor experience at our previous hotel stay in Pinzolo. The manager/Owner welcomed us, shook our hands, offered us both a welcome drink, took our luggage up to our room and showed us around. Just what hotel service should be. We were given a Family room even though there were only two of us, which had a balcony on two sides, one facing the lake and the other the mountains. Apart from a large double bed (two singles as is usual), there was a sofa bed, plus an extra single. The singles could be divided off into a separate room. The bathroom was a decent size with quality toiletries. The balcony facing the lake had a couple of chairs and a small table. There was a mini-bar and a safe. We had booked half-board, which is usually chosen at breakfast time each day. Evening Dinner consisted of four course, plus a salad bar. There were lots of coach parties staying in the hotel with us, so there was always a queue for the salad bar, but the staff were always there to replenish any items that ran out. Despite few of the staff speaking English, they were all very friendly, and we managed to get by with our limited Italian, and a bit of German. The manager and manageress (owners I think), made a point of greeting everyone each evening and asking if everything was ok. There was a Gala Dinner laid on the Saturday Night, with an extra course, and just fabulous food. Breakfasts were delicious, with a good assortment of savouries and cakes etc plus fruit, yoghurt, jams etc. The waiters would get something for you if you didn't want to help yourself. They were the same staff as for Dinner, and they were all very cheery and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. There is a Spa in the basement, with a decent size pool, whirlpool, and forcefull showers. There were two Saunas and a Steam Room, but with only limited opening hours (4-7pm), and an area for relaxation with loungers. We made use of the facilities each day we were there, it was a great way to relax for a couple of hours before Dinner. Our stay there ended all to quickly, and I can honestly say that after travelling worldwide for the last 45 years or so, it is probably one of the best hotels that I have stayed in, certainly for the service we experienced. We shall plan to return in 2020.

Cosy and well-presented hotel with an excellent restaurant serving fantastic local food (I especially recommend the fish) and a great breakfast too - but what really sets this hotel apart from the competition is the staff. This family has been in the hotel business for generations and it shows. Everyone made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Bonetti Family and thank you Walter!

This is family-run business and you can feel it here! The owners are helpful and the service is outstanding. The room was spacious with nice lake view. Bus stop is next to the hotel so it's easy to get to Paganella Ski. We were delighted with the food served here: nice choice for breakfast, varied dinners.

I was in Molveno in January with a group. The strongest side of the Alexander Hotel are people. The nicest hosts and great and helpful hotel staff! Hotel is very clean, food is amazing, fresh and Italian. I’m vegetarian what was NOT a problem for the kitchen at all! I really recommend this place! Hope to come there soon.

Wonderful family run hotel. Every moment in the hotel make you enjoy and come back to the hotel. Breakfasts, dinners are rich, tasty and abundant... Every corner is filled with beauty and taste. Room is very comfortable with electric kettle and large screen tv. Wellness center is great - many kinds of sauna, great jacuzzi and water massage. Grothe shower makes u feel like in inside the mountain. Hosts are family and make u feel part of it. Thanks a lot!
