This hotel is not near to Venice itself, and as long as you are aware of that, then this hotel should do fine. It is a fair walk to the train station to get in to the city itself. The hotel is basic, however if you’re only using it to sleep at night then it’ll do just fine.

My friend and I bought the Wowcher £99 holiday and this was our hotel, it’s safe to say we were happily surprised after reading the reviews. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, our room was clean, we had heating, beds were comfy and all around a good location if you are looking for somewhere close to Venice for a quarter of the price. Advised by the reception we bought travel cards from the shop next door, we bought a 3 day for €40 this allows unlimited travel on buses and water taxis. This doesn’t include the transport from the airport to hotel (vis-versa) that will cost €12 one way. It is a white bus (believe it is the 351 but not sure) From the airport it is the first stop which lands you a 10 min walk away from the hotel. Then on the way back to the airport you need to get on at Mestre BNL bank, it is the same place you got off just on the other side. The road is Corso del Popolo I think, €12 again to the airport, the reception have a timetable for these buses. When getting into Venice the bus to take is the 7E/7 we got both and found our way ok, same for the way back. After a certain time they change to night buses so make sure you know which one stops near hotel Centrale, we didn’t realise this and had to do a lot of walking! We rocked up fairly late one night and just had to ring a doorbell and the night porter let us in. There is a supermarket across the road and a small cafe next door. Breakfast is €7 at the hotel, we didn’t bother having it. One thing I would say about the hotel room is you could hear other doors close when you were in your room but it’s not a dealbreaker. Other than that it is a very good hotel for what you pay for.

We were given this hotel as part of our wowcher holiday and reading the reviews i was not expecting alot. When we arrived the receptionist let us check in early. The lobby is lovely and clean and our room was spotless. It was modern looking with a brilliant powerful shower. There were 2 plug sockets, one being in the bathroom but that wasnt an issue. The bed was really comfortable and the blackout blind was fantastic. We didnt have breakfast at the hotel but there is a lovely place 5 minute walk away called Brunch Republic that we would recommend. We got the tram into Venice each day its €1.50 pp and takes approx 25mins. It is about a 5minute walk from the hotel and the trams run regularly. Overall this hotel is in the perfect spot, lovely restaurants nearby and easy to get into Venice: there is also a supermarket directly across the road.

Had an absolute great stay here. Booked through the wowcher £99 deal and being honest I wasn’t sure what to expect and wasn’t really looking forward to it, however we had absolutely no complaints. So easy to get to from the airport, easy to buy tickets for the bus from the shop next door (we got the 48 hour ones as these included water buses in Venice and that made life so much easier) the buses run 24 hour and you pick it up from just outside the supermarket opposite the hotel. Hotel completely clean, spacious room with a good size bathroom, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Honestly had a really good stay; it’s a basic hotel but when visiting Venice you couldn’t need for anymore!! Also big shout out to lee coopers what a great bar just round the corner!!

Just returned from a 3 night Wowcher deal and overall really enjoyed it. Hotel room was very basic but was very clean. There is a tabacco shop next door which sells bus tickets to go into Venice, return tickets are €3 and bus takes around 15 minutes. On the opposite side of the hotel there is a Simply supermarket, just take the 7 or 7E bus to Piazzale Roma. Overall it was a nice little break.
