I rated this property "average", but there is nothing average about this property. It's just not "very good" nor is it "poor". This property sits on 1000 acres with a beach as one boundary. Most of the property is undeveloped and some of it is swampy. The compound itself (several buildings) is about 1.5 miles from the beach. Public vehicles...

My experience on this farm has always been positive and relaxing. I keep going back and will always return to this gem. The land is sacred and the owners keep it that way. Pristine water, yummy foods grown right there, amazing family staff that cares deeply, and plenty of space to rest and renew. I've had groups there and everyone...

Tenuta San Carlo was a wonderful setting for a group of friends who gathered to celebrate a dear friend's milestone birthday. We were a large group and filled every apartment. The staff was incredibly hardworking, turning out delicious breakfasts (best yoghurt ever) and multicourse dinners. They were very accomodating, providing extra towels, a flashlight, information on buses and trains from...

reTreat & Renaissance started our trip out with our reTreat at Tenuta San Carlo and it was perfect. We were surrounded by the beauty of this unspoiled area of Tuscany. Nature abounds here from the gentle farm life to the pine lined paths to the sea. Each morning we would be greeted by deer, horses, cows, birds, pheasants and wild...

I never imagined I could stay in Tuscany in such surroundings. The country estate is huge, with pine trees as far as the eyes can see, dears, rabbits, horses, cows and so on. The sea is just 20 minutes bike ride away, though I didn't get to see it because the path was flooded. The room (La Lepre) was very...

Our group spent a week at Tenuta San Carlo, an “Agriturismo” or farm Bed and Breakfast, which was our base of operations for exploring southern Tuscany with our guide. Daily breakfast and dinner was included; the food was farm-fresh and excellent, ranging from fresh yogurt and mozzarella cheese made from the milk of the farm’s cows, to fresh pastas and...

I visited Tenuta San Carlo and Maremma Tuscany for the first time. It was a dream visit. Being from Texas, it had that kind of openness, ranches, Tuscan beef cattle, and hills plus the Mediterrean Sea. There are private walking trails in the National Maremma Park, the occasional wild horses and wild boar , and many types of birds at...

We arranged a week in Tenuta San Carlo for Ivy League college friends with spouses - all seniors in their early 70's. With two nine passenger vans, a 4 passenger vehicle and a travel guide, we spent days in Tuscany exploring wonderful sites and our evenings at Tenuta San Carlo. We had fabulous dinners and wine, wonderful travel companions, beautiful...
