We actually stayed here in September 2017 but did not realise I hadn’t posted my review. We had a ground floor room which opened out onto a patio direct into the garden. Photo below. It’s was great as there was a table and chairs and also sunloungers which we used fairly

Fabulous stay for two weeks in Malcesine - in the wonderful Maximilian. The room was a good size, clean and we were well looked after - clean towels, a turn-down each night, cleaners every day. The meals were excellent (half board) - buffet breakfast and a choice for the

On our arrival at the hotel Saturday evening 1st. September we were met by a welcoming receptionist who immediately arranged for a porter to take our cases to the bedroom which was much to our liking. The bedroom was quite large by hotel standards which also included a leather

This hotel is one of the best we have visited, the staff were so helpful and accommodating, the evening meals were fantastic! And the view from the room was breath taking. We stayed in a suite because we were there for our wedding and I'm already hoping we can afford to go

I'll try to start with some positive things. Modern hotel with a nice indoor pool, and gym facilities, the outdoor pool is more of a dunk pool and not suitable for any actual swimming. We had a nice spacious room in a bulding separate from the main building directly opposite to the maid station, we had constant problems with the shower (only able to get no more than 5 mins of hot water and the having to wait 30 mins minimum before the next person was able to have a shower if not water was wanted!!!) We complained many times about this and was told that the shower had been looked at and that the thermostat had been changed (if it had been hit made no difference at all) finally on the third day of complaining we were offered another room that was only available once they had checked out at they were fully booked, we turned this down as we were told it was smaller than the spacious one we were in. The food was nice on a evening but with not a great deal of option on the menu. The breakfast was somewhat disappointing especially due to the fact that there was no fresh bread or buns and what they offered was stodgy and inedible, little biscuits and cakes that all seemed shop baught, the fruit, salmon , and cooked option was nice. The bar area that was set tk the side of the reception was tiny! Lucky to fit 20 people inside but not enough seats to accommodate that many. Service was polite in the bar and restaurant they are all very efficient at their jobs but I personally felt that it was stilted and awkward due to the lack of personality showing and not being able to build a rapport. There is absolutely no entertainment what so ever, if you want anything other than a quite hotel this is the one for you or you have to walk 20minutes to Malcesine or a few minutes on the bus to have some music while you have a few drinks. The blond lady on reception was "frosty" There are no cash transactions at this hotel so everything goes on your room tab to settle at the end of your stay, I prefer to pay as I go so I can keep a closer eye on my funds.
Your best bet is via the internet before you travel. Lots of information about Malcesine.
