We went to majestic palace on a last minute deal it was excellent one of the best holidays we have had the tour operator tui were excellent. Lake Garda was better than I had expected the hotel food and the staff and facilities first class will definitely visit again
What a great choice of hotel this was, on the outskirts of beautiful Malcesine, on Lake Garda. Yes, the hotel is uphill, a 20min steady walk from the Cable Car Station, but it well worth it to stay in such a lovely and very well run hotel. They provide a shuttle bus at certain times, but it is just a small mini bus with around 8 seats. The local 'Tourist Bus' is a very useful alternative though, mainly on the return journey up from town. It takes a one way circular route... 30mins down the way, 10mins back up. 2 euros. The hotel is spotless and set in stunning gardens, with pools in three locations. All very peaceful and relaxing. The rooms up in the annex building are huge, with great views over the lake. No access issues. Great food every day. Excellent offer of free beer and wine at meal times, as well as a complimentary lunch on three days of the week. Free coffee and biscuits at 4pm too. The main pool at the hotel is great for a swim, if rather cool. I used it every day. Take a cold shower, then just get in the pool . Lessens the shock. Great staff, both at reception and dining room. Cleaners do a great job also. Malcesine is a great base for the north side of the lake. Boats to Limone and Garda Del Riva are available at the main harbour. Stunning rock scenery as the boat travels up the far side of the lake towards Riva. The cable car up to Monte Baldo is at the bottom of the road from the hotel. It gets very busy... Go early, or late in the afternoon, to avoid the worst of the queues. Well worth the wait to see the fabulous views and watch the Paragliders taking off from the flat top. Plenty of mountain paths go over the summits from the top Station too. I used one of them to get to the high point of the ridge at 2,200mtrs. Brilliant sunny morning and amazing Alpine vistas were the reward for my early start. Five Star holiday and a great place to enjoy it all from. Highly recommended, and I would not hesitate to return. Lake Garda is a very beautifull part of northern Italy. Malcesine is a beautiful old town, with its narrow, cobbled streets, which wind down to the lakeside. Magic ! My 3rd trip to Italy this year... Skiing in March, Sorrento in June, then here in Garda during September. Every trip brilliant in this beautiful and sunny country.…
Spent a week on half board late September. Booked a delux room which was located in the newer buildings behind the main hotel on the first level. Note...to access this building it was via a walkway, although it was covered it was open to the elements at both sides and could be a little cold and windy during inclement times. Walking fairly briskly it took about 4 mins to walk from our room at the far end of level 5 to the restaurant. On the positive side it was very quiet, The room was very comfortable two large beds, sofa bed, table and chairs and had a nice large balcony that looked out to the lake. It was cleaned well daily and the sheets were changed mid week. Toiletries were provided, shower/shampoo, body lotion, shower caps, however no tea and coffee facilties(we took our own supplies and travel kettle) or tissues. Wifi connection was very intermittent and was charged at 1 euro per day for each appliance. Food was plentiful and a good variety both breakfast and dinner, it was quite crowded at times, but the staff kept food replenished and cleared things away very efficiently. It was good that drinks were included with the meals. The staff on the reception were very helpful and efficient.…
This hotel is absolutely lovely, the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are probably one of the best I have experienced. Certainly managed to get our steps in everyday walking back and forth to Malcesine. Never used the shuttle bus but it’s there for anyone with mobility problems. The range of food was good. We are celebrating our 40 years of marriage and had hoped to go on the TUI day trip to Venice but on the day despite being outside the hotel at the pickup point before the pickup time of 07:55 our tour guide thought we were on the coach and left early leaving us standing out there in the cold wind for over an hour. Several frantic calls to the TUI 24/7 number in Mallorca took place and we were told that the tour guide thought we was on the coach. We were told to stay there and that we would be picked up but hasten to say this never happened. We were devastated and our holiday plans were ruined. We decided to try to do something else and travelled to beautiful Riva for the day but we were so disappointed about Venice it took the edge off everything else. Our rep Liam was not back in the hotel for two days and when we told him and asked for our money 152 euros to be refunded he said he would have to investigate. That evening he said that the tour guide had waited until 8:00 for us. This was absolute lies and a cover up of incompetence. We are still waiting for our money to be refunded and cannot believe how badly we have been treated. …
Have just returned from a 7 day late deal stay with TUI. Was a wonderful holiday thanks to the staff at this hotel. Although the room was a bit outdated it made up for it with space and a lovely big verandah overlooking the pool. Luckily it was quiet because of the time of year. The food was varied, plentiful and tasty for a buffet and the chefs and waiting staff kept replenishing when it was getting low. The staff at this hotel are superb from the hotel manager to the cleaners. The reception and waiting staff must get a special thank you especially Sara,Valentina and the young man at reception, together with all the staff in the restaurant especially Giuseppe,Sabrina and Kristina. Thank you all. We will definitely return
