Luna Hotel 5 excellent location to downturn and beach, service and good food in town. Recently had some refurbishing and okay. Wonderful location to local downtown and delicious restauants. Maiori is a wonderful smaller town. Easy walking downtown area. Take your time for the “lemon trail” walk. We loved making the walk through the lemon groves to Minora and back along the coast road.

Hotel's Favorite
We have just got back from a 10 night stay at the Pietra Di Luna hotel in Maiori. We were a party of 4, myself and my husband (in our 40’s) and my parents (in their 70’s). We had booked superior rooms because we wanted a sea view and we were not disappointed, we were on the 4th floor the the front of the hotel with a fantastic panoramic view across the bay, stunning! The rooms are a decent size with a very comfy and large bed, they are a little dated but perfectly fine and well equipped with a fridge, comfy seats on the balcony as well as 2 chairs in the room and plenty of cupboard/wardrobe space. We also had a spare single bed in our room which was useful for putting stuff on! Pool/beach towels were provided and could be changed when you liked. The pool is nice and we never struggled for a sun bed, the beach is great and you are allocated Sun loungers for your stay on arrival which we really liked. We were staying on a bed and breakfast basis and found the breakfast to be more than adequate with a decent selection of fruit, yoghurts, cereal, cold meat, pate, cheeses, scrambled eggs, bacon, breads, cakes and pastries and a good selection of gluten free products too for my mum who is coeliac. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable throughout the hotel, the hotel is in an ideal location, very close to the beach and a very short walk to the centre of Maiori for restaurants in the evening etc. The only small “bad” point (which by no means affected our overall experience!), was the poor aircon in the rooms, it is a central system and it’s just not really very effective or cool, having said that we were overly hot in the night or anything like that. We probably won’t come back because we don’t tend to go back to the same place but if we ever found ourselves in Maiori again we would definitely stay again!

First time back since 2019 and wondered what changes have taken place since the new manager took over. This was our 6th time back at the hotel, and pleased to say we were not disappointed, the Wi-Fi is a lot better and there is a nice new bar area on the terrace. Too many names to mention all staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back. Jim and Margaret Smith Scotland

Can't rate this hotel highly enough. We have visited several times but not for the last 3 years as like everyone else delayed due to covid. The staff and hotel thankf fully have hardly changed. Nothing is too much trouble everybody always happy to help. Wonderful food and special thanks to Gérardo the maitre de and luigi Anna and all the restaurant staff who make the hotel so special. Also our cleaner on the 4th floor whose name escapes me..she looked after us so well. The pool is always quiet if you want a relaxing space or uif the sea is a bit choppy. The beach is literally just across the road with good facilities and big plus iis that towels and sunbeds are not chargeable. Maori is an excellent base to explore the Almafi coast with good boat and bus links and plenty of bookable trips to various places like Pompeii . Equally us a lovely place to just chill out. We will definitely be going g back. What's not to like?

We visited Pietra Di Luna for our honeymoon. What a fantastic hotel it is! Me and my wife have been to many hotels over the years but this one is probably the best we have ever stayed. The main thing we noticed was how organised the staff are, especially at breakfast and evening meal time, at any point of day whatever you needed they had it covered, all staff are exceptionally friendly and are a credit to the hotel. The receptionists were lovely and the lovely lady in the morning went out of her way to get us a taxi to salerno when we could not get buses because they were all full. We would also like to mention Roberto who was particularly friendly and helpful and made our stay that bit more comfortable. The hotel is completly spotless, not a spec of dirt anywhere, lovely decor, superb food & drink, comfy beds, with beautifull views across the amalfi coast. Also the hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere which was perfect after a days sight seeing. We beleive it is the best hotel in Maiori and we will be returning again, 100% highly recommended.

Stayed for one week here and thought the hotel was nice but certainly not a 4 star. The rooms are small and dated along with a very firm bed. This hotel is not suited to Irish & UK guests as the evening meals are not something we were familiar with. The drinks in the fridge (water) are also charged to the room before checkout which was odd. While we were here, another guest had a dog which barked all day which was a nightmare. The staff are very friendly especially the two barmen - they make great cocktails and are very polite. 10/10 to the staff. The location is also very good with nice bars and restaurants nearby. We would definitely return here again and recommend to others.

We visited the hotel as a family of seven at the end of July and beginning of August. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff are so friendly and at the same time very professional. Nothing was too much trouble, two of my grandchildren are fussy eaters and they went out of their way to provide food they would eat. The food was exceptionally good offering a varied choice every day. The swimming pool is huge and was never busy, it was a big hit with all the family. The entertainment was superb , taking place outside on the hotel’s terrace. We were lucky to have three sea facing rooms, the views from which were amazing. The rooms were spotless and bedding and towels changed regularly. The hotel made our long awaited trip to Maiori very special and created some very happy memories. Thank you for a lovely week.

We stayed for 2 weeks at this lovely hotel. The restaurant manger and his staff were wonderful, I’m a fussy eater. The restaurant manager sorted out grilled chicken and fries for me every night and steak and fries for our daughter. My husband is not a fussy eater and he said the food was amazing. The restaurant manager arranged a breakfast basket on our last day as we were being picked up at 6am for the airport. A huge thank you to all the restaurant staff. The room we had was a little dated but perfectly fine for our stay, there was a problem with the air conditioning one day and the reception staff sorted our a really powerful fan for our room., thank you. As mentioned previously by other reviewers the beds are hard. But we explained to reception and they arranged mattress toppers for our beds. There was 2 days when there was no sun loungers left, unfortunately there was a few family’s not staying at the hotel using the sun loungers one family in particular the dad used to come first thing in the morning and put a hat on one sun lounger, sun cream on another, a book, then a t shirt etc and they were using 6 beds, but would not turn up until 2-3 hours later to use them. we heard them talking about what meal they were making for their dinner and they didn’t have hotel towels we never saw them at breakfast and this hotel is not self catering so we believe they were not guests at the hotel. They never bought any drinks from the pool bar, they used to arrive with a bag full of food and drinks. hotel guests never put towels on the bed until they were using them. This is not a criticism but maybe the pool attendant could check the guests staying at the hotel have a sun lounger before people not staying at the hotel use them. Great location too. Overall a wonderful stay and we look forward to combing back next year.

We stayed 3 nights in the Hotel Pietra Di Luna. We had a lovely room on the first floor with a lateral seaview balcony which was beautiful. The rooms are a bit dated but suited our needs as we didn’t spend much time in the room. Maiori is a beautiful little town which is accessible to so many other towns along the coast. Special mention to Geraldo and Luigi who made our stay even better. They were friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them. Having the private beach across the road was a real plus which we took advantage of every day. Will definitely return. Thanks again to all staff for making our first experience of Italy one to remember ☀️☺️🍸
