My husband and I stayed in Hotel Italo at the end of March and had a fabulous ski holiday. It was our first time in Madonna and from the time of booking, Carla and Matteo responded so promptly to all of our pre-arrival queries - sign of a great customer service. We were not disappointed as we received a warm welcome. On arrival, Matteo provided us with a map of the town and slopes and Carla indicated how best to get around on the slopes. Our room was really comfortable (especially the bed), we had a balcony, lots of hot water, plenty of storage including hooks for skiing gear. The hotel has a boot room (heated room rather than individual boot warmers) and ski storage space in the garage. You literally come out of the garage on street level and cross the road to the bus stop. We used the ski bus to get about (2 euros per day) and it goes to all the lifts except 5 di Laghi (as it's in pedestrianised area). You can buy a daily bus ticket at the hotel. There are about 2 buses an hour and they run on time. Print out the timetable and keep it with you as you will end your day at different ski lifts. From the hotel, you can walk to Spinale gondola but it is a 10 mins walk and we didn't fancy that in ski boots and carrying skis. Some hotels offer a minibus service to the slopes but you will pay more. Dinner was excellent and innovative - you select your 3 course meal the night before. The food was really tasty and we found with the antipasti we struggled to finish the 3 courses. They are happy if you choose two starters and have one as a main or even ask for smaller portions. We have to commend the staff in the restaurant - very attentive and highly professional (I am sorry but we can't remember their names). The wine is also reasonably priced. This hotel is very well run, all of our needs were catered for. Carla even provided us with a sandwich, fruit and water as we had a very early morning departure. There's a very friendly bar opposite the hotel in the square - we discovered the joys of a lovely regional red wine - Teroldego - staff were very friendly. All in all - a fabulous holiday and will be back!.

It is a nice place to stay with a family for holidays. Very convenient place, if you are interested in skiing, because it is near the ski lifts (Spinale Express). We were very pleased and surprised by their kitchen, because dishes were very tasty. The personal was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and cozy.

Warm, friendly and cosy hotel with amazing food. Only down side was the bed, a bit lumpy and needed a new mattress. The waiting staff in the restaurant were so good and such an asset to the hotel. The ski boot room was not heated which would have been good as ski boots get damp after sweating. The ski lift is just up the road and if you don't want to walk there is a bus just outside the hotel door which reaches all the ski lifts. Very very nice staff who couldn't do enough to make your trip good and the Crystal ski rep John was super great and assisted us with our damaged bag issue at the airport.

The staff were extremely accommodating at the hotel, especially given as my sister and I were booked on at the last minute with Crystal. They were really helpful when we all arrived. Our room was clean and tidy and even though we didn't want new towels after the 3rd day, housekeeping still replaced them. In particular, the food for breakfast and dinner was incredible. The chef should be extremely proud!

I stayed in Hotel Italo in a room with my sister, while on a skiing holiday with our parents. Even though we booked late on to the trip we were given a room a few doors down from our parents which was considerate. Staff at the hotel were all very helpful and friendly. In regard to my room there were some peanuts left on the floor underneath my bed, but apart from that everything was clean and tidy. The beds were made for us everyday and can be washed each day at your discretion. The hotel were happy to supply extra pillows upon request. The ensuite was clean and the water in the shower was always very nice and warm. The heating in the room worked really well sometimes needing the window open at night but definitely made a difference on a skiing holiday! The food at the hotel was very well presented and varied and the staff were flexible with vegetarian requests. In particular the female waitress at the hotel was very attentive with excellent English skills. The hotel is a 10 min walk into the local town and 5 -10 min walk to the nearest ski lift. It is positioned opposite a bus stop, so you have the choice to walk or bus it depending on how tired you are! Perfect location for the slopes and really suited our needs for this holiday, with nice food, nice room and a comfy bed!
