8th season in livigno, second time at stefano's.

Apartments, clean, warm, well kept and in a fantatsic location, in centre of resort.

above childrens clothes shop, midway between Gallis pub(lift 20) and Lift 23(mini lift / valandrea area)

Only downside is the ski locker room, which is small and down a ramp(gets icy)

Would recommend this place, as it's very quiet of a night, but central enough for the skiing(both sides), and pubs / restaurants to eat.

We (4 ppl) stayed at Baiti Menin for a week. We travelled with Crystal ski from what our rep told us Livigno is 12km long and as it is in a valley its quite spread out. We were on the swiss side far enough out although there was a bus opposite us which as others mentioned was free and frequent. If you are experienced skier you can ski back to the apartment (I was a beginner). The reason we had to take this place was that we wanted an apartment with at least two rooms which I am told can be hard to get so make sure you know what you are getting. As self catering there was no toileteries or cleaning products. So you have to buy everything you may need from tissues to washing up liquid but it had all the appliances you need coffee maker, hob, dishwasher - can't remember if there was an oven! Cleaning comes at €50 a week optional and not included in our package also we had to give a deposit of €150 which we got back the day before we left. We didnt find where you do laundry. Our land lady was hard to get but her father was around and always very pleasant/helpful. The apartment was clean. The beds/mattresses not very comfortable but as we were always on the go we got over this. The apartment was always warm (nice temperature) and had ski lockers below for storing ski gear.
However we ate out most of the time as restaurants are reasonably priced and we were generally too tired to cook. The restaurant opposite La Locanda was lovely for a drink unfortunately we didnt get a chance to eat there although it seems to have good reviews. Also the restaurant Mattias was just beside us yet again we didnt get here but I imagine it would have had to be booked prior to our arrival, I did drop up twice but it wasnt opened at the time if I go again I will definitely visit. We found the locals so friendly and this made our stay so relaxing I will be back to Livigno and hopefully soon. If you are looking for Apres ski we found it on the far side of the town but easily acessible by taxi/bus. If you are looking for the madness of Apres ski try Allegro - we found this thanks to Steve the Thomson rep - having never travelled with thomson I am looking into it now. His group seemed to be on a constant party and getting involvedin all activities - he was always very pleasant and letting people know where everything was happening I was in ski school with some thomson travellers so we managed to get to a few of the nights out. Try Daphanes and Mikys too (Mikys has a slide to get in and most big nights end there from what I seen). For food we liked 1816/La Birra for pizza€7/beer€2-4, Bellavista, La Mirage great atmosphere and food.
We were skiing at lift 20 so depending on the time it took 15 - 30 minutes to get to here on the bus. Or most taxis around the town cost between 8 - 10 Euro. Ski instructors were fantastic especially Marcus at lift 20 great guy. I think ski lift 29 is nearest to the apartments although not definitely it was the first lift I remember seeing! Livigno is a lovely town picturesque friendly and easy to get around a week was too short.

We (6 adults) booked the Livigno Apartments through DirectSki in Jan 2011. This is basically an "accommodation on arrival" option. I can only comment on the apartment we got. ( Suppose it is pot luck.
We got the Le Palu apartment.
Apartment:
Sleeps 7. Bedroom 1 - 2 single beds, Bedroom 2 - 3 single beds, Living room - pullout double bed. 2 Bathrooms, 1 shower. The apartment was very spacious with plenty of room to store all your ski gear. The cooking facilities were adequate.

Location:
Located near the north end of the town about 50m from the H St Michael bus stop (See the Bus route map - http://www.livignovacation.com/en/cms/c49/Livigno-Maps/Ski-Bus-Livigno-Map.html). The bus service is excellent, bus every few minutes. The apartment is above a tourist office and ski rent shop (reasonable price and discounted when staying at the apartment). There is also another ski hire shop across the street - 50m). The closest ski lift is lift 29, a drag lift which allows you to then ski across to the other lifts and access all of the west side of the valley. Lift 29 is 3 stops away on the bus (5 mins) or a 10 minute walk.

Excellent apartment - I would highly recommend it.

We booked our holiday with Direct Ski and were told that we were staying in 'Livigno Ski Apartments'. First of all there is no such thing as Livigno Ski Apartments, basically it is a group name for random rooms that Direct Ski have decided are fit for human habitation and the actual apartments are allocated on arrival at the airport. At least if you're booking with other travel agents they do actually say that 'accommodation is allocated on arrival'. Perhaps Direct Ski could clarify this for future clients.
So we arrived at the airport and we told them we were staying in Livigno Ski apartments and the Direct ski rep informed us that we were staying Casa Adam- and in her words- "you'll love it, its a great place to stay". So that sounds ok you would think but no... after a 5 hour drive (that only took 5 hours because we stopped a a designated touristy restaurant for over an hour) we arrive at what can only be described as some old retired person's one bed apartment that hadn't been updated since they started working 40 years ago. There were 5 of us and we were told that it was an apartment for 6 people. What a joke. There was only one real bedroom with 2 single beds pushed together. Then there was a cupboard off that room that had 2 bunkbeds in it (the 2 'rooms' had the same door!). The bunkbed room was so narrow that you could only get in and out of bed in it, not turn around etc. Then the other 'room' consisted of a camp bed and a bed made out of a sofa, or a sofa made out of a bed or something like that. That was considered a room because it had a sliding door with a large pane of glass in it (for extra privacy of course!). This was essentially the sitting room but there wasn't sitting done in it, and there wasn't much sleeping done in the whole apartment either! If you weren't woken up by the road sweepers at 4am, the creaking of the 'beds' as we tried to move around to get some comfortable side to sleep on, or the annoyingly loud neighbours who decided it was a good idea to shout at the top of their voices as they ran up and down the stairs, then you would be disturbed by the construction work on the building attached to us. At least that building was being refurbished I suppose, that was something they had up on our place.
All in all, Casa Adam is a complete kip and I would not reccommend it to anyone. If this is the kind of standard that Direct Ski offer to its clients (who paid a lot of money for this holiday), and what their rep considers "a great place", then I doubt that the other apartments they offer are any better. After a day's skiing the least you can expect is a decent night's sleep and that's not something you will get in Casa Adam or 'Livigno Ski Apartments' as they are sometimes known!

The location is a jewel of many experiences: skiing, mtb, cycling, hiking, swimming, running, climbing, playing etc. and you will surely not get bored here. Also the apartments are nice, simple and closed to the main streets.

Via Vai is top located. On the foot of the slopes from one side and on thea in shopping street of Livigno. The apartment was great as we already know from the last visit on March. Frau Urdola and her team of sunny people me your holiday relaxing and positive, despite of the artificial snowy ski runs we were skiing. DECEMBER was a month of the artificial snow znd Sunny weather. Not bad😀 we rented the apartment 4 with 3 bedrooms and excellent living room. Just the coffee machine cause us problems. Hope to find new of we will bring ours. No complains apart of the coffee machine with its own character. The espresso is perfect done in the Via Vau restaurant. Will not mentioned the whole menu. The Chef is fantastic. Strongly recommend the prosecution us ghetto appetiser of God house.

I stayed for a week in January.Appartment was nice, clean but a little far from the town. Paid 150 Euro for "breakages".Cleaned the room and left it immaculate. When I called to the woman to collect my deposit back she wouldn't even bother to check the appartment. She stated that I littered outside the property with cigarette butts and she became quite loud and nasty. I stated that I had a couple of cigs out the window of the room, as no balcony was provided. There was no notice of a fine for smoking in the appartment. I had passed her a few times during the week, she could have came tome if there was a problem. But no, she waited until I was leaving. Very cunning. Feel scammed by this nasty woman.

Great location; We all had very bad sleep, adults and the kids, since the beds are small and uncomfortable. Also modest and uncomfortable furniture, specially sofa that even looks dirty. Kitchen equipped a little below average.
